1. Admit your body will change shape! Yes that’s right - come out of the DENIAL phase.

3. Go through your wardrobe and pull out anything that is suitable for your small bump and that will stretch with you.

4. Create a maternity section in your wardrobe with only those clothes that you will be wearing during your pregnancy. This will take away the stress of finding garments that fit!

5. Assess your lifestyle and apply the 80/20 Rule:Look again in your current wardrobe and analyse what you wear 80% of the time. Surprised? You will find this is just a small percentage of your clothes. These are the pieces you will need to replace for your maternity wardrobe.

6. Create a shopping checklist!Do you require lots of work wear? Do you attend functions? Are you a jeans or cargo girl? Look for garments that can be dressed up or down.

7. Locate your local maternity boutique and/or website. There are lots of different labels on the market catering to all styles and budgets! Look for value. Cheap may not last the distance.

8. Visit your local boutique BEFORE you’re desperate. Get an idea of what’s available and when new season stock is arriving.

9. Try stuff on! You’ll be amazed at what looks better on the body compared to hanger appeal.

10. Create a capsule wardrobe. Your maternity clothes should, with careful planning and purchasing, become a tight capsule wardrobe that will suit all your requirements. A bit like packing for a 6 month holiday!

Nursing Access

Cotton and Silk have always been a popular nature fibre for comfort

and long term wear, but now another fibre has entered the spotlight.

Bamboo. Bamboo is a soft and luxurious fabric with excellent

breathability and absorbency to evaporate moisture quickly.

Importantly, washing is a breeze. Due to it excellent absorbant

properties, Bamboo is an easy quick dry fibre. What makes this

different from other fibres is its anti-static features to avoid the fabric

from clinging to your skin. If you suffer from skin sensitivity, bamboo

is perfect. Bamboo contains anti-fungal properties to keep skin

allergies and aid in clothing comfort.

Environmentally, Bamboo is a sustainable product. There is no

need for pesticides or fertilizers which is good for the environment

(as well as your skin!) Bamboo is also 100% biodegradable. Best

of all, bamboo just relies on rain, which means no excess water is used!
