SYM 50th Anniversary 1965 2015 Past member Weekend

SYM is 50 years old this year and still thriving with over 200
young people
making music in Swindon today. Thousands of people will have
been part of
SYM over the last 50 years, many will still play regularly,
occasionally or
would like to if they had the time!
The Friends of SYM would like to invite as many SYM past members
as
possible to celebrate this milestone. We are holding a special
weekend for all
prior members of SYM to come along, meet old friends, share
memories and
play some music.
Most events are free and will be held at The Platform (the old
Railway Museum and new
home of SYM). A special concert will be held at the Wyvern
Theatre ().
Programme
Fri 13th 7:30pm 9:30pm Cheese and wine gathering at the Platform
Meet old SYM friends and share stories over a glass of wine and
nibbles.
Just bring yourself, family and friends and even some old
photos.
Sat 14th - Open rehearsal of SYM at the Platform 9am 2:30pm Come
and watch the current generation of junior SYM at their weekly
rehearsal.
Free refreshments for past members of SYM.
Sat 14th - Last Night of the Proms at the Wyvern Theatre

Last Night of the Proms
concert at the Wyvern. For tickets please complete the form

Sun 15th Nov - Scratch rehearsal and mini concert
Dust off your instrument or voice and join other past members to
rehearse and perform in a
concert at the Platform. Rehearsal sessions 10am-12pm, 1pm-3pm.
Concert at 4pm.
