They're smail, light*'eight,eas1' to maintain - and give highly satisfactorl' colorrendition. |ixtures also are smaller, rnore economical - andaccommodate man) bulb sizes for easy adjustment of illumi-nation levels to changing trallic conditions.

You get tu'ice the life of ordinary street lighting larlps.Thus they cut total lighting costs substantialil. - drasticallyreducing both lamp cost and maintenance labor - thelargest single cost in lamp replacement.

For series operation rvith a high r.oltage source and constar-rtcurrent transformer. Light output remains fairly constantthroughout li{e, so is expressed in initial lumens instead ofwattage. I'S-25 types have "close-lead" construction to pre-r,ent destructir.e :rrcs. 20-amp types have double lead wireconstruction for rugged service. 600 to 15000 lumen output,according to size.
