HW General Instructions

Panel MountingRemovethecontactblockassemblyfromtheoperator(fortransformertypepilotlights,removethetransformerfromtheilluminationunit).Removethelockingringfromtheoperator.Inserttheoperatorintothepanelcut-outfromthefront,tightenthelockingringfromtheback,theninstallthecontactblockassemblytotheoperator.

Removing and Installing the Contact Block Assembly

1.Toremovetheoperatorfromthecontactblock,turnthelockingleverinthedirectionofthearrowshownbelow.Theoperatorcannowberemoved.

2.Toreinstall,placetheTOPmarkingsontheoperatorandthecontactblockmountingadapterinthesamedirection,andinserttheoperatorintothecontactblockmountingadapter.Thenturnthelockingleverintheoppositedirection.

Notes for Panel Mounting

1.Whenmountingtheoperatorontoapanel,usetheoptionallockingringwrench(MW9Z-T1)totightenthelockingring.Tighteningtorquemustnotexceed2.0N·m.Donotusepliers.Excessivetighteningwilldamagethelockingring.

2.ForthecontactblocksandtransformershousingLEDandincandescentlamps,makesurenottopressthelampstoohard,otherwisethelampsocketmaybedamaged.

Safety Lever LockIDECstronglyrecommendsusingthesafetyleverlock(HW9Z-LS,yellow)topreventheavyvibrationormaintenancepersonnelfromunlockingthecontactassembly.

1.HWseriescanbemountedverticallywithaminimumspacingof55mmbutspacingshouldbedeterminedtoensureeasyoperation(recommendedminimumspacing:100mm).

2.Mountthecontrolunitontothepanel,lockthelever,andpushinthesafetyleverlocktoinstall.

3.Whenthespacingisnarrowerthantherecommendedvalue,withtheleverun-locked,mountthesafetyleverlockandinsertthecontactunittotheoperator.Then,locktheleverandstronglypushinthesafetyleverlocktoinstall.

4.Toremovethesafetyleverlock,insertaflatscrewdriverintothesafetyleverandpushupwards.
