Swachhta Shapath Day(1.9.2019 to 2.9.2019)
Swachhata Shapath Function:-
The students pledge to inculcate and promote the habit of sanitation so that the children
start learning the importance of Green and clean India. The main aim was to motivate the
young minds towards cleanliness.

Swachhta Awareness Day and Community Outreach(3-9-2019 to 5-9-2019):-
Cleaning of toilets, classrooms, fans, windows, bushes in the school campus and surrounding
area.
Organizing Camp activities to promote Cleanliness

TREE PLANTATION DRIVE 6.9.2019
The Environment club and the Ex-student Association (CESA) of Carmel Convent Sr. Sec. School. B.H.E.L., Bhopal, as a part of green Bhopal, Cool, Bhopal, Initiated a ‘Tree Plantation Drive’ on to keep the surrounding of school green & Clean.
The Chief guest on the occasion was Shri. Arvind Anand Toppo, AGM, Town Administrator and the Guest of Honour was Smt. Anubha Shrivastava , IAS. Some parents also were present on the occasion to witness the ‘Plantation Drive’. Around hundred Saplings of different varieties are Neem, Kadam , Guava, Jamun etc. were planted inside & outside the School Campus.
AS a gesture of thanks one Sapling each was Presented to all the Guest present on the occasion.

Swachhata Participation Day-7.9.2019 The Environment Club of the School has organised various activities for class
6th,7th,8th,9th and 10th respectively.
For class 6th to 8th the Topic was Save the Green gold. Sub topics - Eco-friendly card making for class 6th.

Collage making showing harmony with ecology for class 7th
Comic script - How technology is affecting the environment for class 8th.

Skit on Swachhta
A skit was conducted by 12th standard students , to create awareness about the vitality of
cleanliness under the ongoing programme of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
Through this drama they gave the messege of Swachhata hi hai desh ki pehchan.The main
motive of the play was to inculcate the feeling of belongingness towards the school property,
streets and public places among the new generation,so that idea of swachh Bharat could be
spread among the maximum . It also depicted the important role by the lower sections for the
same. It showed that they are more concern about clean and green surroundings than the
educated and well off ones.

Hand wash Day (8.9.2019 to 9.9.2019)
Students were taught about the their personal hygin and importance of washing hands before
and after eating.

Personal Hygiene Day- 10.9.2019
A seminar was conducted to create awareness among the students on menstrual hygiene and
how to keep themselves clean.
Nails of the students were checked and they were taught to keep the nails and hands clean.

Swachhta Hi Seva (SHS) Day (11.9.2019)
Students of class VI-VIII participated in Shramdan by cleaning school premises for swachhta hi
Seva activity-

Swachhata School Exhibition Day (12.9.2019) Topic - Exploring Green Treasure for class 9th and 10th.
Minature garden competition Minature garden competition conducted on 30th August for class IX th.
A child learns lots of brilliant new skills when we give them the freedom to try new activities &
get messy in the process. Miniature garden activity helps them to plan, excecute and evaluate
whilst having fun. Giving them their own mini garden means they can be claye of their own tiny
space which will build their confidence & teach them the basics of plant care.
When they get their hand in the mud & make the garden they will the be developing their
manual decterity too. It’s a relaxation therapy for mind & students get closer to nature also.
Miniature Garden ideas include plant choice, accessories, themes, and proportions.
A miniature Garden is literally a living garden in miniature. The focus is on creating & growing
the garden on a small scale. Dwarf trees and shrubs are paired with small leafed plant , that
make up the under story of Garden bed.
Organic potting soil with no added fertilizer is used for this activity.
MEDICINAL PLANTS:-
Vedio making competition on Scared, Valuable and Medicinal plants for class 10th .

Letter Writing Day- 14.9.2019
A letter writing competition was held for the Sr. Secondary students to create awareness on
personal hygiene. Students wrote letters to their parents about their learning in past few days
and they mentioned to their parents about the various methods of cleanliness.

Prize Distribution Day -15-9-2019
Prize distributed to winner students for participation in different competitions.
