National Badminton

Championship Master Raghav, a student of class VIII of the

school did the entire school proud by lifting

the Winner's Trophy of the School National

Championship (U/14) of Badminton

Tournament organised by the School Games

Federation of India (SGFI) at Kadapa

(Andhra Pradesh) from 18th January to 21st

January 2018. He was declared the National

Champion of the prestigious tournament. The

school congratulates him on his splendid

victory and wishes him good luck for future

tournaments.

District Level Competitions

The following students of the school bagged top three positions in

various competitions organized by Directorate, Secondary Education

Haryana, Panchkula in association with Haryana State Legal Service

Authority on 23rd

Jan., 2018 on the theme Legal Literacy Programme.

Earlier these students bagged top three positions at the Block Level

competition also which was held at Panipat on 19th

Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar – 2017-18

DPS Panipat Refinery was honoured with the District Level Swachh Vidyalaya Award 2017 for

various categories. In a special ceremony, Deputy Commissioner, Panipat, Ms Sumedha Kataria,

IAS felicitated the school on Tuesday, 20 March 2018 at Mini Sectt. Panipat.

The Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar was instituted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development,

Government of India to recognize, inspire and celebrate excellence in sanitation and hygiene

practice in schools.

Our school was rated as the best school under the following categories:

by CBSE for being among the top 0.1%

students in the All India Senior School

Certificate Examination- 2017. In class

X CBSE Examination, 43 students out

of 158 were awarded certificates of

merit for securing 10 out of 10 CGPA.

Inter DPS Science & Maths Talent Examination

The following 05 students qualified the final level of the Science

& Maths Talent Examination – 2017 organised by the DPS

Society with collaborative support from Science Olympiad

Foundation (SOF). The final level of the Science & Maths Talent

Examination was held at DPS R.K. Puram on 17th Dec. 2017.

Winter Cup Cricket Tournament

Our school cricket team of classes VII to IX

won the Winter Cup which was held at The

Century School, Karnal organized by

School Sports & Cultural Association

(SSCA) from 2nd to 7th Jan. 2018.

Inter DPS English Literary Festival

Our school participated in the Inter DPS

English Literary Festival – 2017 organised by

the DPS Society on 1st Dec. 2017 at DPS

International Saket, New Delhi. The event

was held in 02 categories (01- Online activity

& 02 – Onsite activity) and our school

participated in both the categories.

KVPY-2017

03 students (Sparsh Gupta, class XII, Ishu Kumar, class XI,

Siddharth Aggarwal, class XI) qualified the written test of the

prestigious examination of Kishore Vigyanik Protsahan Yojana

(KVPY-2017), a national programme of fellowship in basic

science.

School Level Painting Competition

A school level painting competition on water

conservation – 2017 organised by Central

Ground Water Board, Ministry of Water

Resources, Government of India was held

at our school for the students of classes VI

to VIII on 1st Dec. 2017. Total 96 students

participated in the competition. 03 best

DELF Junior Examination

18 Students of class VIII from our school appeared in DELF A1

exam-2017. This examination was held at DPS Mathura Road

on 8th Dec. 2017.

Quiz Competition

A quiz on Swachh Bharat was held in our school for classes VI

to VIII in association with Panipat Refinery, Marketing Division

on 22nd Dec. 2017.

A special assembly for class nursery to II was organized in the month of December on British Council

international project. Children learnt about the culture of different countries (India, Italy, Brazil, china).

They learnt about their food items, attire and greeting words. Children did various activities e.g. collage

making, tearing and pasting, colouring, cotton dabbing on the pre drawn pictures of food items, dresses,

fruits and vegetables. All the activities were displayed in an exhibition.

CBSE Science Exhibition – 2017

04 students of class X & XI from our school participated in the

CBSE Science Exhibition held at DPS Gurgaon from 23rd to

25th Jan. 2018.

Special Assembly for Nur to II

Workshop on Hindi

02 teachers (Ms. Arti Sharma, Headmistress & Mr. Ranu Tiwari, TGT) attended a workshop on the

topic “Hindi-X” organized by CBSE. The workshop was held at Arya Girls Public School, Panipat on

19th & 20th Feb. 2018.

Inter House Cricket Match (Boys)

The Inter House Cricket Match (Boys) was held on 7th Dec. 2017 for classes VI to VIII. Shivalik House got 1st

position followed by Aravali House.

Inter House Kho-Kho Competition

The Inter House Kho – Kho Competition (Girls) was held on 23rd

Feb, 2018 for classes III – V. Nilgiri

House got 1st position followed by Shivalik House.

Inter House Techno Fest

The Inter House Techno Fest was held in Jan. 2018 for classes VI – VIII. Shivalik House bagged 1st position

and Aravalli House bagged 1st runner-up position.
