Client: Daniel Cormier LADY GAIL Date of Survey: July 6, 2006 19. Other equipment systems: Trailer: three axle highway Audiovox tape/tuner 20. Vessel security: During season: Gagetown Off-season: residence, 6 Stoney Creek Road 21. Observations: (NOTE: see photos in image pages 1-4 following the text section of this report) Data was obtained by inspection and review of available published material. The vessel is a 31’ cruiser built in Canada in 1976. The inventory above includes only items of importance to safety or of substantial value. The hull is of moderate to heavy GRP construction. As the vessel was examined ashore, it was not possible to determine watertightness, however by all indications the hull is watertight. The hull was randomly sounded and there is no water intrusion into the laminate. All deck fittings, including cleats and stanchion bases are securely bolted with backing washers. The gelcoat is in good condition, the deck is clear of unnecessary obstructions. As the interior has a partial liner, the hull/deck joint is not visible in its entire length, however in the visible areas it is securely glassed. The cabin’s interior surfaces including all upholstery are in good condition. Much of the interior has been refinished. The bilges are clean. All areas of the cockpit are in good condition. There is a three piece windshield. The opening hatches and ports are in good condition, locking dogs functional. The fixed ports are in good conditiopn. All glazing is intact, unbroken, uncrazed. Entry to the cabin is by companionway doors, these are ecure and in good condition. The vessel is powered by two Volvo Inboard/Outboard 6 cylinder gasoline engines. These were rebuilt in 1996. New flame arrestors, alternators, starters have been installed this year. The engines are securely bolted to Aluminium mounts. Cooling is by heat exchanger. Engine controls are in good condition. The lower units are in good condition, bellows pliable. The 15” props are in good condition. Steering mechanisms are intact and in good condition, there are no leaks in the hydraulic system. The fuel tanks (Al construction) are secured, the visible sections of the tanks are in good condition. The tanks are vented and electrically bonded. The rubber fuel supply lines are in good condition and without leaks. There is no evidence of leaking anywhere in the fuel/propulsion system. Two automatic 12Vdc bilge pump are installed in the engine compartment bilges. There is a transom drain and six thruhulls, these are all secure. One seacock is seized, it was being replaced at time of survey, same comment for two hose clamps. The 12 Vdc electrical system is in good condition and secure. Two batteries are secured in the engine compartment. All visible wiring is in good condition and well supported. The circuits are protected by a load centre. The 120 Vac shore power installation is standard, protected by a load centre. The wiring is in good condition and well supported. GFCI receptacles are being installed. The galley is fitted with stove and microwave, there is adequate clearance and protection between stove and flammable matyerials. Propane is used only for the exterior BBQ. There is a fume detector. Domestic water is supplied and there is a water heater for the shower etc. These are in good condition. Human waste is handled by a Marine manual head and holding tank, all in good condition.

The vessel is in good condition and has been well maintained. There are no areas of the vessel or its equipment that were examined that show heavy wear. There are no defects, damages, or hazardous conditions that pose a potential threat to the safety of the vessel and its users, nor any other condition likely to result in loss or damage. The mandatory recommendations are to be carried out in the time frames noted.
