Indian engineering students are all set to receive a world class opportunity that will simulate

real- world engineering design projects and their related challenges.

SAEINDIA announced SUPRA SAEINDIA, an event that will task Indian engineering studentsto design and build an off- road race track vehicle

The SAEINDIA competition which is to be held for the first time in India, endeavourers to

inculcate and harness talent to augment design and engineering skills of the India students.

The goal of this competition is to provide these students a world class platform to showcase

their talent and potential not only in terms of design and engineering skills, but also assess

their capability for team-work, entrepreneurship, leadership and management skills.

Internationally, identical events have been changing the way students look at the automobile

industry.

Under the direction of Mr.R.Dayal, SAEINDIA President, we are starting SUPRA SAEINDIAseries from 2011 in Chennai

In continuation with vision INDIA 2020, we have a dream to brand India as an international

automotive hub, not only in the filed manufacturing but also in R&D and innovation.

The India automotive industry one of the fastest growing in the world. This sector is looking at

a 16% annual growth to quadruple its total revenues in the next 10 years. In such a scenario,

an event like SUPRA SAEINDIA provides the perfect impetus for the next generation of

industry professionals who will fuel this growth. This event will provide a unique platform to

drive and instill auto passion among budding engineers and equip them to be globally

competitive. Thus, there is a need to build a strong foundation for human resource in India. Sponsoring
