Initial Sampling

Entry...

...is first status of creating a new Initial Sample Inspection Report through the supplier data base. The creator enters all data of the part, which is

going to be sampled. VDA and VW specific fields and boxes need to be filled in and attachments added.

All entries can be saved during the creation.

The process in divided in seven process steps. Every step has a status.

Release...

...is the status after finishing the Entry. It should be seen as a review and a possibility for correction of the entered data. The reports will be forwarded and released to the VW Group for further investigation. All entries will be

„frozen“ and cannot be changed after the release. The status can be as well changed back into „Creation“

Checking...

...is given after completion of the release, after the supplier has forwarded the ISIR to VW Group. The ISIR will be checked on accuracy and integrity.

Non-conforming or incomplete ISIRs will be sent back to the supplier. The ISIR will be opened and an ISIR Number will be given.

Status Processing...

...is set, after the check of the ISIR was successful. The responsible SQA engineer can now execute single tests (measurement, laboratory, fit and

function). The responsible SQA engineer decides the Total Note. In consultation with the supplier,

the engineer can change details ( parts data, IMDS a.s.o.) of the ISIR.

Accepting...

...is the status after the responsible SQA engineer has completed the Inspection of the ISIR and the samples. The decision-preparator checks the

ISIR for accuracy and integrity and releases the ISIR for final signature. Incorrect or incomplete ISIRs will be sent

back to the responsible SQA engineer.

Signing...

…is the status after the decision-preparator has checked the ISIR, found it correct and released it for the final signature.

The Sole Authorised Signatory releases the ISIR legally binding and closes with his signature the report.

Rolls and Rights - 1/2

External Creator (EE):

Enters and changes ISIRs on suppliers side. He / she has got read and write rights in status „Entry“ in the pages Overview, Supplier Data, Parts

Data IMDS/MISS, Safety and Environment,Test Results, Documents and Forms.

All people included in the sampling process,named „rolls“ have assigned tasks.

The rolls EE and VEE will be set by the Company administrator.

Rolls and Rights - 2/2

Authorised External Signatory (VEE):

Is the only one, who can release ISIRs and send them to the VW Group. The Release is even without the handwritten Signature legally binding. The

authorised external signatory has read and write rights in status „Release“ in the pages Overview, Supplier Data, Parts Data IMDS/MISS, Safety and

Environment, Test Results, Documents and Forms.

– Parts list (Data import possible) with IMDS / MISS functionalityand attaching of documents for inserts

– New VDA Report attachment „resolution of multi variant assemblies

• Certificate sampling

– Positive answer of all mandatory questions (like drawing specifications, mandatory technical approval, technical deviation...) is essential
