CIT IDiscover what kind of leader you are by exploring your abilities and talents. Connect with fellow campers by assisting in program activities and daily camp operations. Take action and learn how to effectively mentor those around you. Experience camp as both a counselor in training and as an older camper. Make lifetime memories and friendships. AT Campers will sleep in the historical TIC porch - a screened room with a private bathroom. Skyland Ranch campers sleep in historic Circle Ho Campground in tents. No previous experience required.

CIT II Continue to explore what the challenging and rewarding job of a camp counselor is all about. Expand on the lessons that you learned as a CIT 1. Time will be spent developing interpersonal skills and understanding various age groups when program planning. You will gain actual hands-on experience at camp. This memorable and life-changing session is an incredible blending of adulting, large group movement, and challenging experiences as well as memory making, friendship building and laughter-filled programming. Upon completion of CIT 2, you will participate in an ever-evolving graduation ceremony. The confidence and skills you take away from this experience will benefit you on your college and career path. CIT 1 is a prerequisite to this session. Skyland Ranch Campers will sleep in the historic Circle Ho Campground in tents or hammocks. AT campers will sleep in the historic TIC Porch. Includes an optional July 19th-22nd break, (leave on the 19th; and return on the 22nd)

Everything You Love About Camp (EYLAC)

Glow CampCome for a glowtastic good time – take the Super Skyland Day Camp a step further as AT lodge is also transformed into a glowing lab as girls continue creating DIY glow projects from slime, to engineering and to food. Girls will have an opportunity to participate in an all camp glowing challenge, including an all-nighter if they desire. This week will include other non-glowing science experiments, too.

Harry PotterCome join us as we transform Camp Azalea Trails into a Magical School for wizards. Play quidditch, work on mastering potions, find your perfect wand, go on scavenger hunts and discover the sweet taste of butterbeer and more.

Horsin’ AroundEnjoy time horsin’ around with the horses, other campers and our international riding staff. Become more confident in your ability while developing lasting friendships and learning the fundamentals of riding and horse care. From the beginning rider to the advanced, girls gain confidence, independence and leadership skills. The riding staff is comprised of horse lovers from all over the world eager to share their knowledge with campers. Girls will spend much of their day with the horses. Some of the fun activities include gymkhana, an overnight experience, teaching others, washing/bathing horses and of course riding and grooming. All activities are weather permitting.

Hunger Games Training Camp (NV)

Makerspace: Metal & ClayBe a maker and let your inner artist fly as you share tools and space to create unique art using metal and clay. Girls will have a chance to pound, pinch, squeeze, roll, coil, twist and squish clay. Once they have their art the way they like it we will fire it in one of our kilns so they can paint to their hearts desire. Of course that is assuming they don’t get distracted forging the metal and using tools to hammer, bend and cut. Come create in our makerspace; you might even get a chance to do some plaster of paris sculpting!

Makerspace: Metal & Clay Weekend (NV)

Spend the weekend making beautiful and unique art - share tools and space to create using metal and clay. Girls will have a chance to pound, pinch, squeeze, roll, coil, twist and squish scuplty and air dry clay. Once they have their art the way they like it, we will allow it to dry and then finalize the piece based on the design. Girls will also have a chance to try forging metal, using tools to hammer and bend. Come create in our makerspace using the materials we have on hand to let your inner artist soar free.

Music CampPick the track you would like:

▶ Ukulele (for 6th - 12th grade) ▶ Guitar (for 5th – 12th grade) ▶ Drums (for all ages) ▶ Potpourri of instruments (for all ages)

In the manufactured instrument programs, girls will spend 4 hours each day enjoying time with a professional on that instrument. Girls will get started right away learning and playing. Girls can bring their own instrument or borrow one from us. In the potpourri of instruments, girls will have fun with non-traditional instruments like spoons, washboard drums, dungarees, washtub bass, etc. In the potpourri session they will get to learn how to make guitars from recycled materials and other instruments too. There is limited space in each of these programs so register early to guarantee a spot.

Outdoor Cooking (NV)Join our Sister Council and Be a Cook! With cooking sprinkled throughout the week, girls get to have all the fun of camp and make yummy things to eat while they learn the basics of cooking – heat, measuring, ingredients, safety, prep and method. Girls will create a cookbook, make jam (with camp staff) and tortillas, and use a number of different cooking methods. They will become “eggsperts” in egg making as they try their hand at cooking eggs on everything including a stick, if they are brave enough for the challenge.

Saddle UpDo you love everything about horses? Well then Saddle Up is for you. This session is horse-focused where girls spend lots of time in horse activities including riding, horse care, cowgirl school (ranch time), and horse education. Days are filled with horse activities geared toward developing riders’ confidence, independence and leadership skills. With the 9-day horse session girls will enjoy learning all aspects of horse program including helping other girls learn the basics of riding. All activities are weather permitting.

She & Me Come celebrate your adventurous soul as you take a trip around the world with our international staff and our sisters from the next state (Nevada) without ever leaving camp. Learn about their countries’ games and crafts all while you enjoy archery, hiking, crafts, and more. You’ll enjoy awesome food, sing songs, make S’mores over a campfire and sleep in a cabin! All participants must be Girl Scout members prior to attendance. Adults are responsible for their own girls at all times. Horseback ride is included for $70/couple; those 7 and under ride in the arena. 8 and up can go on a trail ride depending on their comfort level.

Stable DaysSpend time in nature with your new horse friends. Learn about saddling, grooming, feeding, basic horse care and riding skills. Riding ability determines participation in certain activities. Emphasis in all programs is on Western Style instruction, ring work and horse care. Girls will spend much of their day with horses doing well-rounded horse experiences including riding. Girls will still get to try some of our more traditional camp activities like archery, crafts and games. All activities are weather permitting.

Star Wars & Star Trek(NV)“To boldly go where no one has gone before” and blend Star Wars and Star Trek into one epic camp session. This session offers fencing and light sabers, star gazing and “exploring” new worlds, scientific experiments to discover the flaws of the Death Star, deciding whether phasers or photon torpedoes are more effective and trekking through “alien” worlds using only your communicators to communicate between your ship mates. The blending of two “universes,” Star Trek and Star Wars, will lend itself to a memorable science fiction-filled universe exploring session. Do or do not there is no try…join us and become one with the force.

Taste of CampGet a taste of all camp has to offer from the food to the activities. Girls will get a chance to use creativity and discover what camp is all about. Depending on weather and the season girls will cook outdoors and support the kitchen. Girls will get to choose their camp track from service to food to just plain fun (no peeking by parents for what your happy camper chooses to do).

Training Camp for Magical Congress

Start your training to determine if you are ready to join the Agency for the Protection of Wizarding Secrecy. Be ready no matter what the skills you need – learn fencing, bows & arrows, survival skills, stealth and more. Use problem solving and science to prepare for a game of strategy. Survival is all about your skills and quick thinking.
