‘Putting the grower in a good market position’ has been the mission of our company for many years. This strong focus, but above all, the commitment of our people, means that each year we can introduce new, strong and unique genetic material to the market. But your business, and ours, only flourish because consumers continue to buy plants and flowers. For this reason, during the past few years we have focused on creating ‘ambassadors’ for our products. An ambitious project, that we can only realise with that same commitment to the grower and in collaboration with other partners in the chain.

It gives me great pleasure to say that with more than 200 employees in the Netherlands and another 100 in Tanzania we are still a dedicated and passionate team and that together we form a close-knit family-owned company. With considerable affection for our profession, from flower seed production to sales and from cultivation to seed technique, I have the audacity to state that all our employees are proud of our Cyclamen, Primula, Ranunculus or Campanula. These products have a long journey to make before they can beautify the consumers' home or garden. We also consider it to be part of our task to direct, together with you, this dedication to promoting our further fruitful collaboration in the chain. Collaboration in which the grower is central – because, without growers there would be no product, without ambassadors no market.

However, the world is changing rapidly. Consumers make their purchases where and when they are inspired. But consumers are also increasingly demanding and order what they want, when and where it is convenient. The traditional floriculture sector is diminishing. A new equilibrium is emerging between supply and demand and where these intersect. Together with you and the other partners in the chain we continually endeavour to be one step ahead of these new trends and developments. The main objective remains: value-creation and improved return on investment for all links in the chain.

„Den Kultivateur in eine gute Marktposition bringen". Das ist bereits seit vielen Jahren die Mission unseres Unternehmens. Der Fokus auf diese Mission und nicht zuletzt das Engagement unserer Mitarbeiter haben dazu geführt, dass wir jedes Jahr wieder Pflanzen mit neuen, hervorragenden und exquisiten genetischen Eigenschaften auf den Markt bringen können. Doch ohne Konsumenten, die weiterhin Blumen und Zierpflanzen kaufen, ist die Zukunft Ihres und unseres Unternehmens ungewiss. Daher haben wir als Unternehmen in den vergangenen Jahren gezielt darauf hingearbeitet, „Botschafter" für unsere Produkte zu kreieren. Ein ehrgeiziges Ziel, das nur mit einem entsprechenden Fokus auf die Kultivateure und in Zusammenarbeit mit den Kettenpartnern verwirklicht werden kann.

Ich freue mich daher auch sagen zu können, dass wir mit gut 200 Mitarbeitern in den Niederlanden und 100 Mitarbeitern in Tansania noch immer über ein sehr passioniertes Team verfügen und ein starkes Familienunternehmen sind. Mit viel Liebe zum Fach - von der Samenproduktion bis zum Verkauf und vom Anbau bis zur Saattechnik. Daher kann ich guten Gewissens behaupten, dass alle Mitarbeiter stolz auf unsere Cyclamen, Primeln, Ranunkeln oder Campanula sind. Produkte, die einen langen Weg zurücklegen, bevor sie auf den Tisch oder in den Garten des Konsumenten gelangen. Wir sehen es als unsere Aufgabe, dieses Engagement auch dafür zu nutzen, gemeinsam mit Ihnen an einer weiteren fruchtbaren Zusammenarbeit in der Kette zu arbeiten. Eine Zusammenarbeit, bei der Sie als Kultivateur im Mittelpunkt stehen. Denn ohne Kultivateur kein Produkt, ohne Botschafter kein Absatz.

Wir leben jedoch in einer sich rasch verändernden Welt. Der Konsument kauft dort, wo er Inspiration erfährt, wird aber auch stets anspruchsvoller und bestellt wo und wann er will. Herkömmliche Blumen- und Zierpflanzengeschäfte verschwinden von der Bildfläche. Es entsteht ein neues Gleichgewicht zwischen Nachfrage und Angebot und dem Ort, an dem diese aufeinandertreffen. Gemeinsam mit Ihnen und anderen Kettenpartner sind wir unablässig bemüht, diesen Herausforderungen die Stirn zu bieten und diesen neuen Trend aufzugreifen. „Zapewnić hodowcy dobrą pozycję rynkową”. Taka jest już od lat misja naszej firmy. Ten wyraźny cel, ale przede wszystkim zaangażowanie naszych pracowników sprawiają, że rok po roku udaje nam się wprowadzać na rynek nowe, silne i wyjątkowe cechy genetyczne. O Waszej i naszej racji bytu stanowi jednak przede wszystkim to, czy konsumenci w dalszym ciągu będą kupować kwiaty i rośliny. Z ogromną pasją do zawodu, od produkcji nasion po sprzedaż kwiatów i od uprawy po technologię siewu. Śmiem twierdzić, że wszyscy pracownicy są dumni z naszych cyklamenów, pierwiosnków, jaskrów i dzwonków. Produktów, które pokonują daleką drogę, zanim ozdobią stół lub ogród konsumenta. Za nasze zadanie uważamy przeniesienie tego zaangażowania również na wspólną pracę nad dalszymi owocnymi formami współpracy w łańcuchu dostaw. Współpracy, w której kluczowe znaczenie ma hodowca. Bo bez hodowcy nie ma produktu, a bez ambasadorów nie ma sprzedaży.

Świat jednak szybko się zmienia. Konsument kupuje produkt tam, gdzie znajdzie inspirację. Ma też coraz wyższe wymagania i zamawia, gdzie chce i kiedy chce. Tradycyjne kwiaciarnie i stoiska z kwiatami znikają. Powstaje nowa równowaga między podażą a popytem i miejscem, gdzie się one schodzą. Razem z Wami i innymi partnerami w łańcuchu dostaw staramy się raz za razem łączyć siły i podążać za tym nowym trendem. Główny cel: tworzenie wartości i poprawa rentowności dla wszystkich ogniw łańcucha dostaw.

Climate conditions influence the time required to cultivate our Super Serie. So it is important to take the specific climate conditions at your nursery into account when deciding which of our varieties to grow.

COOL CLIMATESCool climate conditions can best be compared to the cool to temperate sea climates. Key characteristics here are the relatively small temperature differences between summer and winter and precipitation throughout the year. In the driest month of the year, there is at least 30 mm precipitation, in the warmest month, the average temperature is below 22°C.

WARM CLIMATESWarm climate conditions are those similar to a Mediterranean or warm sea climate with warm summers and mild, wet winters. In the driest summer month there is an average of 30 mm precipitation; in the wettest winter month the average is at least three times as much. In the warmest month of the year the average temperature is at least 22°C. For warmer climates we have specially developed a Solar variety in some series. Check the product pages to see for which products a Solar variety is available and can be ordered.

The climate tables for warm and cool conditions serve as a guide when making your choice for a particular Super Serie variety. Due to the considerable variation in regions and climates, it is not possible for us to describe all circumstances in detail. Our growing consultants would be happy to advise you for your specific cultivation circumstances.

Klimabedingungen haben Einfluss auf die Kulturdauer unserer Super Serie. Bei der Sortenauswahl sollten daher immer auch die spezifischen Klimabedingungen in Ihrer Gärtnerei berücksichtigt werden.

KÜHLES KLIMAKühle Klimabedingungen lassen sich am besten mit einem kühlen bis gemäßigten Meeresklima vergleichen. Hauptmerkmale sind die relativ geringen Temperaturunterschiede zwischen Sommer und Winter und der über das ganze Jahr verteilte Niederschlag. Im trockensten Monat des Jahres fällt mindestens 30 mm Niederschlag, und im wärmsten Monat des Jahres liegt die Durchschnittstemperatur bei mindestens 22 Grad Celsius.

WARMES KLIMAWarme Klimabedingungen lassen sich am besten mit einem mediterranen Klima oder einem warmen Meeresklima mit warmen Sommern und milden, nassen Wintern vergleichen. Im trockensten Sommermonat des Jahres fällt durchschnittlich 30 mm Niederschlag; im nassesten Wintermonat im Schnitt mindestens das Dreifache. Im wärmsten Monat des Jahres liegt die Durchschnittstemperatur bei mindestens 22 Grad Celsius. Speziell für wärmere Klimazonen haben wir bei einigen Serien eine Solar-Version entwickelt. Auf den Produktseiten sehen Sie, bei welchen Produkten Solar verfügbar ist und bestellt werden kann.

Die Klimatabellen für warme und kühle Klimazonen sind ein Hilfsmittel bei der Auswahl einer bestimmten Sorte aus unserer Super Serie. Aufgrund der großen Vielfalt an Regionen und Klimazonen können unsere Beschreibungen jedoch nicht allumfassend sein. Bei Fragen zu Ihren spezifischen Kulturbedingungen beraten wir Sie gerne persönlich.

CIEPŁY KLIMATCiepłe warunki klimatyczne przypominają klimat śródziemnomorski lub ciepły klimat morski o upalnych latach i łagodnych, wilgotnych zimach. W najbardziej suchym miesiącu letnim występuje średnio 30 mm opadów; w najbardziej mokrym miesiącu zimowym jest to z reguły przynajmniej trzy razy tyle. Średnia temperatura w najcieplejszym miesiącu roku wynosi co najmniej 22 stopnie Celsjusza. Specjalnie z myślą o cieplejszym klimacie opracowaliśmy w niektórych seriach odmianę Solar. Na stronach poszczególnych produktów podano, czy odmiana Solar jest dostępna i można ją zamówić.

Tabele klimatyczne do ciepłych i chłodnych warunków stanowią pomocne narzędzie przy wyborze określonej odmiany z Super Serie. Ze względu na wielką różnorodność regionów i klimatów opisy nie są wyczerpujące. Z przyjemnością służymy indywidualną poradą dotyczącą konkretnej sytuacji produkcyjnej.

Compact is unique. The plant quality is indisputable, and the tremendous number of blooms captures the imagination. Available in no less than 28 colours. This year we have improved the colours Salmon Red, Light Neon Pink, Wine Red, Salmon Flamed, Wine Red Flamed and Fuji Dark Violet.

The first Fuji colours were available in the Compact series. There's a special effect in the tips of the blooms, they fade out to white: just like the snow-covered tip of Mount Fuji! This colour was first discovered by Japanese cyclamen breeders – so it just had to be named after Japan’s famous mountain.

Our Super Serie starts with Original. The characteristic genetic material is anchored in this plant which we call Original because it is the origin of our Super Serie. Simply supplying high quality products was no longer sufficient, which is why we now have a ‘pull’ rather than a ‘push’ strategy in place. Our services go much further than just supplying the seeds. A high quality product is a prerequisite, but it is no longer a distinguishing quality. For this reason, we work together with the entire chain. And we put the grower at the centre.We endeavour to create demand at the end of the chain. We do this by creating specific product-grower-market combinations. But also by supporting our partners in the chain with growing recommendations, and marketing and sales advice. This strategy means that the grower moves into a better market position and in turn means an increase in the market return for the entire chain.

Growth regulation: seedling growth can be regulated by timely fertilization with a lower N:K ratio (more K), by placing the plant in a lighter part of the greenhouse (use screens if the light intensity is greater than 500 – 600 W/m², 44 – 55 Klux), by keeping the plants a little dryer or by applying a temperature drop. We do not recommend using chemical growth regulators because these affect the size of the plants in the final stage and delay the cyclamen coming into bloom

Crop protection: various pests and diseases can damage the seedlings. We recommend scouting regularly and applying preventive treatment against Cyclamen mite, Greenfly, Sciara, Botrytis and Anthracnose. Consult your local crop protection specialist for the correct products and concentrations.

PRICKING OUT SEEDLINGSIf the pricked out plants (14 – 16 weeks old) are to be grown on externally, pick out the seedlings and plant them in larger plugs when they are 8 – 9 weeks old. Take care, especially with the mini varieties, to place the tuber high enough above the soil surface. Fertilize immediately after pricking out with an NPK fertilizer with additional phosphate and calcium. Ensure the plugs are sufficiently moist (level 4). After 1 – 2 weeks, grow on under dryer conditions (level 3) for adequate root development.

From seedling to flowering finished product (16 – 22 weeks)

POTTING ONFill the pots to the rim with airy potting compost enriched with lime and fertilizer, pH 5.8 – 6.0 and EC 0.5 – 0.7 mS/cm. Use young plants with at least 2 or 3 developed leaves. Make sure that the plugs are sufficiently moist. When potting on the mini varieties, make sure that the tuber remains high enough above the soil surface. If the tuber is too deep in the potting compost this will cause problems later in the plant development and will increase the likelihood of diseases.

CLIMATETemperature: during the first 6 – 8 weeks maintain the temperature at 17 – 18 °C (62 – 64°F), then gradually lower the temperature to 14 – 16 °C (57 – 61°F). RH: 60 – 80%. In all circumstances, ensure there is an active climate via ventilation or by using fans. Light: during the first 3 – 4 weeks, set the light levels to 350 – 400 W/m² (30 – 35 Klux), after 4 – 5 weeks gradually increase the light levels to 450 – 650 W/m² (40 – 61 Klux). Zadbać o wystarczającą wilgotność podłoża. Przy doniczkowaniu uważać, aby bulwa odmian Mini wystarczająco wystawała nad podłoże. Posadzenie bulwy zbyt głęboko utrudnia dalszy rozwój rośliny i zwiększa ryzyko chorób.

KLIMATTemperatura: przez pierwsze 6-8 tygodni utrzymywać temperaturę 17-18°C (62-64°F), później można stopniowo obniżyć temperaturę do 14-16°C (57-61°F). W.w.: 60-80%. W każdych warunkach zapewnić aktywny klimat przez wietrzenie lub używanie wentylatorów.

Światło: przez pierwsze 3-4 tygodnie ustawić poziom światła na 350-400 W/m² (30-35 klx), po 4-5 tygodniach stopniowo zwiększyć poziom światła do 450-650 W/m² (40-61 klx). W tym celu stosować ruchomą kurtynę, siatkę lub kredę na dachu szklarni. Przy wysokich temperaturach (>25°C) częściej zacieniać, aby w miarę możliwości zapobiec stresowi cieplnemu.


WATERINGAfter potting on, water the plants from above for the first few weeks (moisture level 4) to encourage good growth and a good microclimate. Water preferably in the mornings so that the crop is dry before nightfall. As soon as the first roots are visible at the edge of the pot, the plants can be grown under dryer conditions (moisture level 3).

FERTILIZATION During the first 3 – 4 weeks use an NPK fertilizer including trace elements with an N:K ratio of 1:1, add lime to the fertilizer regularly. Depending growth, cultivated variety and the season, adjust the N:K ration to 1:2. As soon as the buds begin to form, adjust the N:K ratio again to 1:3 or even 1:4. EC of water gift 0.5 – 2.5. Strive for an EC in the pot of 0.3 – 0.8 mS/cm.Under warm conditions (>25°C) temporarily reduce the EC of the water and the nitrogen level in the fertilizer. Take soil samples once every 3 to 4 weeks to determine the nutritional status in the pot.

PLANT SPACINGplants more space as soon as the outer leaves begin to touch each other. Only space plants in pots that are sufficiently moist and avoid heat stress immediately after spacing.

FLOWERING PERIODThe flowering period depends on various factors such as variety, temperature, light intensity, pot size and the season. Cyclamen flower best between 25 to 35 weeks after sowing. Periods when the temperature is too high, (>30°C, >86°F), or too low, (<12°C, <54°F), will delay flowering by several weeks. If the 24-hours temperature rises to above 27°C (80°F), the cyclamen buds will cease to extend and this will delay the blooming.

BEWÄSSERUNGFür ein gutes Weiterwachsen und zur Gewährleistung eines guten Mikroklimas die Pflanzen in den ersten Wochen nach dem Topfen von oben gießen (Niveau 4). Vorzugsweise morgens früh bewässern, damit die Pflanzen bei Sonnenuntergang trocken sind. Sobald die Wurzeln an der Außenseite des Topfes sichtbar sind, kann trockener kultiviert werden (Niveau 3).

DÜNGUNGWährend der ersten 3 - 4 Wochen mit einem NPK-Dünger mit Spurenelementen und einem N/K-Verhältnis von 1:1 düngen, auch regelmäßig einen Kalziumdünger verabreichen. Je nach Wachstum, Kultivar und Saison das N/K-Verhältnis auf 1:2 anpassen. Sobald die Knospen sich zu strecken beginnen, das N/K-Verhältnis auf 1:3 oder 1:4 anpassen. EC-Gabe 0,5 – 2,5. Es sollte ein EC-Wert von 0,3 - 0,8 mS/cm im Topf angestrebt werden. Bei warmem Wetter (>25°C) die EC-Gabe und den Stickstoffgehalt der Düngung vorübergehend senken. Alle 3 - 4 Wochen eine Bodenprobe entnehmen, um den Nährstoffgehalt im Topf zu bestimmen.

AUSEINDERSETZENDie Pflanzen weiter auseinandersetzen, sobald die Blätter einander berühren. Nur Pflanzen mit einem ausreichend feuchten Topf auseinandersetzen und Hitzestress direkt nach dem Ausstellen vermeiden.

BLÜTEZEITDie Blütezeit der Cyclamen ist von mehreren Faktoren wie etwa Sorte, Lichteinstrahlung, Topfgröße und Saison abhängig. Cyclamen blühen zwischen 25 und 35 Wochen nach der Aussaat. Perioden mit hohen Temperaturen (>30 °C, >86 °F) oder zu niedrigen Temperaturen (< 12 °C, < 54 °F) verzögern die Blüte um Wochen. Wenn die Tagestemperatur 27 °C (80 °F) überschreitet, stellt die Cyclame das Strecken der Blüten ein und verzögert damit die Blüte.

PODLEWANIEPo doniczkowaniu przez pierwsze tygodnie podlewać rośliny od góry (poziom 4) w celu zapewnienia dobrego rozrostu i korzystnego mikroklimatu. Co 3-4 tygodnie pobierać próbki gleby w celu określenia zawartości składników odżywczych w podłożu.

ROZSADZANIERozsadzić rośliny, gdy pierwsze liście zaczną się dotykać. Rozsadzać tylko rośliny w doniczkach o wystarczającej wilgotności i unikać stresu cieplnego bezpośrednio po rozsadzeniu.

OKRES KWITNIENIAOkres kwitnienia cyklamenów zależy od kilku czynników, m.in. rasy, temperatury, ekspozycji na światło, rozmiaru doniczki i sezonu. Cyklameny kwitną między 25 a 35 tygodniem po wysiewie. Okresy wysokich temperatur (>30°C, >86°F) lub zbyt niskich temperatur (<12°C, <54°F) opóźniają kwitnienie o kilka tygodni.
