Alignment and Station LocationsWhere do I catch the Super Loop?
Key Station LocationsHow were station sites chosen?
Legend
Executive Drive Transit Center
•Station originally planned for intersection of Executive and Towne Centre Drives•Moved to site of new MTS Transit Center after its location was finalized to offer better transfer options
La Jolla Village Square
•Existing bus stop near La Jolla Village Square Drwyoffers best connection to shopping centers•Pedestrian connections to planned light rail station will be examined once final station location is confirmed
UCSD / VA Medical Center
•Planned Gilman Transit Hub will offer convenient connections to other bus lines and short walks to most areas of UCSD•Sixth College Neighborhood Plan calls for a new development just north of station
Executive / Genesee
•Station planned for location west of Genesee to avoid congestion around Jewish Community Center, Executive / Genesee Intersection•Pedestrian connections to planned light rail station will be examined once final station location is confirmed
•East side of Nobel / Regents intersection allows for better pedestrian access to La Jolla Colony area and Costa Verde Complex, plus room for a bus lane
Nobel / Regents University Towne Centre
•Current Transit Center offers best connections to other bus lines and shopping centers• Locations of planned transit center and Mid-Coast Light Rail station may alter future station location
Transit Connections
Potential Connections to Mid-Coast Light Rail at:
1. Nobel Drive / I-52. Scripps Hospital / Campus Point3. Executive Dr / Genesee Ave4. University Towne Centre
Connections to Mid-Coast will be refined as light rail station locations become more definite.
Connections to Other Bus Lines at:
A. Planned UCSD Gilman Transit HubB. Existing UTC Transit CenterC. Planned Executive Drive Transit Center
Potential Coaster Commuter Rail Connection at:
• Proposed Nobel Drive Coaster Station
How can I connect to other trains and buses?
Traffic ConditionsHow will the Super Loop impact traffic?
Good Poor Congested
Roadway Conditions Congested
• Super Loop avoids many of the most congested streets in University City
• Super Loop provides more travel choices, reduces local traffic
• Congested locations are identified for priority treatments

New Pedestrian Crossings
•New signalized crossings will allow for safer & easier access to Super Loop Stations.•New crossings are concentrated on UCSD Campus, with its heavy pedestrian traffic.
Remove Stop Signs
•By removing stop signs (and in some cases replacing them with stop lights), the ride on Super Loop vehicles will be faster and smoother.
New Stop Lights
•New stop lights will be added at several intersections to allow for easier turns, fewer stops, and safer pedestrian crossings.
New Turn Lanes•New turn lanes will reduce delays and speed both normal traffic and transit vehicles.•New lanes will be created by utilizing existing roadway space.
Super Loop Stations
•Super Loop stations will include many measures to speed the boarding process.
Queue Jumper Lanes•Special queue jumper lanes will allow Super Loop vehicles to bypass backups at stop lights along Nobel Drive.•Queue jumper lanes will allow vehicles to make right turns.
Transit Signal Priority•Special transponders on Super Loop vehicles will give them priority at stop lights.
