“Shelter for the Soul”

Your home is more than a place where your possessions are.

Where you live and what you live with are an extension of who you are. Your living quarters are a physical manifestation of your emotional wants and needs, a mirror of your thoughts, dreams, hopes, wishes, and issues.

Explore what your living space means to you and what you can do to make positive changes in order to create a "Shelter for your Soul".

Charlotte has been a member of Morning Star for 13 years. She’s a retired professional organizer and the author of All in Order - Organizing Your Home, Office, & Life. And she’s been teaching classes on organization for the past eleven years at Moore/Norman Technology Center, libraries, churches and civic groups.

Sunday, December 8 ~ Darrel Clark

“Creative Consciousness”

Darrel Clark is a long-time member of the Morning Star Community. His talk "Creative Consciousness" is about how we all are constantly creating the world that we live in. We are all incredibly creative. We apply strong feelings and vivid imagination in support of what we believe is important about the various situations of our life. This creates our "reality". determined by our past experiences and conditioning, the most important and over-riding factor is how conscious we are of our active role in this creative process.

Meditator ~ Nickie Flambures

Sunday, December 15 ~ Tom Massey

"Dance like Nobody’s Watching"

Tom Massey will lead a discussion on experiencing the joy of living with audacious authenticity. Speaking of joy, that is what Tom feels each Sunday when he joins with the team of wonderfully talented and dedicated musicians of the Morning Star Band to make soul-inspiring, spirit-lifting music.

Community Holiday POTLUCK after service on Dec. 15th

Sunday, December 22 ~ Special Holiday Service

Sunday, December 29 ~ Chris Higby

“Remind me again how I ended up in Saudi Arabia? The perils of acknowledging

a soul journey…”

Chris Higby will talk about her life journey and experiences of the first four months of living in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. She will discuss living in a Mutawa (religious police) controlled world and the rules they enforce. Deserts, people, culture and the unfolding of soul purpose are part of the tale.

A displaced member of the Morning Star Family, Chris Higby is returning for the holidays. She left Norman, Oklahoma for a job in the BioMedical Physics Department of the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She has spoken at Morning Star in the past about “knowing” in her life and the spiritual guidance that has foretold this journey.

Meditator ~ Mary Bruehl

MORNING STAR CHILDREN’S PROGRAM

The Morning Star Children’s program begins at 10 AM each Sunday. Doors open at 9:45.

It is a place for children to spend time together playing games, doing arts and crafts, and

being exposed to stories and books with themes such as virtuous actions, forgiveness,

compassion, mindfulness, etc. If you would like more information regarding the

children’s program please see Tori Rose or Sacra Nicholas.

Wisdom Collection (Library)

Do you have some spiritual books, DVD’s or CD’s you are finished with? Morning Star

could use some new titles on our shelves. Donations accepted on Sundays in the wicker

basket, or see Charlotte Hayes.

We’d especially like self-help books, and books about spiritual journeys.
