Kids Worship

Coat Drive for African Refugees

October 14 - 28. Time to Clean out those closets!

Please support our coat/hat drive to benefit the African Refugees. We are collecting adult and

children/youth coats, hats, gloves, mittens and scarves for the African Refugees in our

Thanksgiving Box Project

Distribution Date - Monday, November 19

Boxes Committed to Date - 3 Names Turned in to Date - 3

Box Goal - 15

We need your help. If you would like to help with this project by providing a box(es) for

a family OR donating money to purchase items for the box, please let us know so we will

know how to plan. We do not want to turn anyone down. Lists for items to go in boxes

and details for the boxes are in the Welcome Center and Vestibule. We estimate each box

will cost $50 - $60 (including the $25 to purchase perishables & turkey)

The deadline for letting us know if you are providing a box OR names to receive

boxes or fruit baskets is Wednesday, November 14. If you have questions, or if you

would like to help on November 19 with shopping for perishables assembling fruit baskets

&/or delivering boxes & baskets, contact Judy Rogers (584-8964/712-3396 /

the Vestibule (back of the Worship Center).

Volunteer Opportunities

Trek & Journey Sunday Night - Interested in working with Middle School or High

School students on Sunday night? We need game leaders, snack coordinator and

Media Ministry - Ridgedale is searching for volunteers who would be interested in

learning how to operate our projection equipment during the worship service. See Boyd

Hestand (599-1573 / [email protected]) if you would be interested.

New Member Ministry

We welcome Lee Rutherford as the Ministry Leader who will focus on welcoming our

new members. He will be starting this ministry in the coming weeks. This ministry

includes information boards with photos of new members, quarterly updating church

family directory, welcoming and providing information to new families and much more.

If interested in helping Lee with this ministry, please contact the church office (588-6855)

Christmas Parade 2012

Clinton Parade - Saturday, December 1, 6:00 pm

Karns Parade - Saturday, December 8, 10:00 am

The theme for the float this year is “A Tennessee Christmas”. We have a need for individually

wrapped candy and monetary donations for lights, garland and other decorations for the

float. Contact Jeannie Rhodes for complete details (577-2267 / 207-2960 /

[email protected]). Detailed information regarding the parades will be available in

November.

Angel Tree

Our annual Angel tree Project will begin next Sunday. Please visit the Welcome Center

next Sunday for complete details.

Turkey Bowl

Our annual Ridgedale Turkey Bowl will be held on Thanksgiving day, Thursday,

November 22, 10 am at Ridgedale Ballfield. More information to come!!
