THE CARE TEAM FAMILY CARE FUND was established in 2010 primarily to help families within our congregation and immediate communi-ty who are in need of emergency monetary assis-tance due to a crisis situation. The Family Care Fund is currently de-pleted! Donations are needed to replenish the account so funds will be available for future needs. Please consider contributing by giving cash or a check to: SPLC Care Team Family Care. Please direct questions to Pastor or Trish. This page contains a brief synopsis of the readings as well as some questions for your reflection to help you go deeper with the Word. On the back is a day by day listing of scripture readings with possible prayer request. Individuals are listed on their day of birthso that you might pray for them on their birthday. Also on the back is the prayer list for the congregation. Keep on Growing Spiritually!!

    Readings for the Day:

Isaiah 25:1-9: After a hymn of praise acknowledging God as a shelter for the poor, the prophet portrays a wonderful victory banquet at which deathwhich in ancient Canaan was depicted as a monster swallowing everyone upwill be swallowed up forever. The prophet urges celebration of this victory of salvation.

Matthew 22:1-14: Jesus tells a parable indicating that the blessings of Gods kingdom are available to all, but the invitation is not to be taken lightly.

Questions To Ponder: 1Why do you think that Jesus uses the image of a banquet to compare the Kingdom of Heaven to? 2What is the major point of the parable? 3 Who in this parable to identify with? Why? 4When Jesus talks about a banquet, what kinds of images come to your mind? 5How do you understand the wedding robe at the end of the story, where the man is turn out for not wearing it?
