19“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son

and the Holy Spirit, 20teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to

the end of the age.”



15And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16“He who has believed

and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.



46and He said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise again from the dead the third day,

47and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning

from Jerusalem.


1. We Must “GO”

Walk off, move out, take off, travel, move, go away, reach, extend, lead to, stretch, spread…

And what does GO mean?



“would be proclaimed in His name…”

“Go…”“Go therefore…”



If something is to be proclaimed,

then one to proclaim it is

necessary(Rom. 10:12-15)

“Go…” is notan optional command

“Go Ye Means Me”

Jesus here states His

authority for the command (vs.

18)

“preach the gospel to all creation…”

“make disciples of all the

nations…”



The proper message must be preached

“to all”(Acts 20:20, 27;Romans 1:16;

I Cor. 1:21)

Mark says, “into all the world…to

every creature”(See Col. 1:23)

The extent of ourwork is to, “all

nations”(See Matt. 9:37-38;

John 4:35)

Two salesman in the late 1800’s were sent from this country on separate missions to Africa to view the possibilities of selling shoes. One salesman wrote back to the company and said that the prospects for selling shoes in that country was absolutely no good because everyone went barefooted. The other salesman wrote back and said that the prospects for selling shoes there was fantastic because everyone needed shoes.

Repentance coupled with forgiveness of

sins is seen in Acts 2:38

(See Matt 26:28)

Baptism has everything to do with our being

saved (Acts 22:16;

I Pet. 3:21)

Baptism is the central theme of

this portion of the text in

becoming a disciple of Jesus

Forgiveness is only available to those who obey Jesus Heb. 5:8-9

Not everyone will accept the

gospel(Matt 7:13-14;

Ezekial 33:8-11)

We must teach all that Christ

commands(John 12:48;

Matt 24:13-14)


“Go Ye Means Me”

We Must Preach To A Lost And Dying World

This Command Is For Every Disciple Of Christ

Without The Preaching Of The Gospel Souls Are Lost
