Incotec offers a new technology to increase the sunflower seed kernel weight allowing breeder producers to market varieties with the right weight for certification and export of their seeds. The recipe is customized to existing batch treaters which means no need to invest in special equipment. The process is fast and flexible without any drying steps and leaves the shape of the seeds intact. Dust is reduced to the minimum. Good quality seeds that just happen to be small and light-weight can therefore be sold for a fair price instead of being discarded for oil. SUNCRUST makes use of three ingredients:

Product name POWCO FC S-029
Description Weight increase powder formulation
Purpose of use To increase the weight without post drying. To be used in combination with DISCO™ AG Blue L-517 and SOLCO FC X-008
Product characteristics This product is developed for field crops to increase the weight. Until 20% no drying will be needed, above limited drying is advised.

Directions for use 1. To be used in combination with DISCO™ AG Blue L-517 and SOLCO FC X-008 2. POWCO FC S-029 should be applied to wet seed, blend should be added
gradually while spraying SOLCO. The blend does not have any binder itself, so will require a liquid polymer DISCO™ AG Blue L-517 to be added during encrusting. The amount required will depend on the seed type and weight increase needed.
3. Extensive support is offered along with this product to ensure optimal conditions for handlers and for the product. This includes support with implementation for each specific treating facility.

4. Storability
24 months when stored in closed package, out of direct sunlight and protected from freezing. Store between 2°C and 30°C under dry conditions.
5. Safety and waste
Waste must be disposed of in compliance with regional, national and EC regulations and via a licensed waste processing company. Do not dispose of waste via the sewerage system. For toxicological properties we refer to the product’s MSDS.

Description Strong and high concentration binder/adhesive to lower dust-off
Purpose of use SOLCO FC X-008 is recommended for the encrustment of seed and can be used in combination with POWCO FC S-029 and DISCO™ AG Blue L-517.

Product name DISCO™ AG Blue L-517
Description L-517 is a water-based, blue film coat liquid
Purpose of use L-517 is used for the treatment of sunflower seeds. To be used in combination with POWCO FC S-029 and SOLCO FC X-008.

Directions for use 1. Stir well before use to ensure that the product is homogenous 2. All components of the treatment slurry must be compatible. Ensure that this is the
case before large scale mixing 3. After addition of the DISCO™ the treatment solution should be mixed for approx.
10 minutes until a homogenous mixture is obtained 4. To be used after the application of POWCO FC S-029 and SOLCO FC X-008 5. Extensive support is offered along with this product to ensure optimal conditions
