Summer Dinner DanceCelebrating the 125th anniversary of the Chicago Horticultural Society
The EventThe Summer Dinner Dance is the signature event at the Chicago Botanic Garden and is seen by many as the official kickoff to summer for Chicago and the North Shore. Attracting 400 to 500 senior civic and community leaders, the event takes place on the stunning grounds of the Garden, where guests will enjoy an exquisite evening of cocktails, dinner, music, and dancing. The 2015 event will hold special significance as the Chicago Horticultural Society celebrates its 125th anniversary!
MissionThe mission of the Chicago Botanic Garden is to cultivate the power of plants to sustain and enrich life. The Summer Dinner Dance benefits the Garden and supports all of the Garden’s initiatives—from sustaining horticultural excellence to ensuring access to fresh produce in Chicago’s neighborhoods to protecting the nation’s biodiversity.
The SettingThe Chicago Botanic Garden in full summer bloom serves as the stage for the Summer Dinner Dance. With 385 acres of public gardens that include 26 distinct gardens, four natural areas, and 81 acres of lakes, the Garden offers an extraordi-nary and unique backdrop for an evening of dinner and dancing.
The OpportunityThe Summer Dinner Dance is the ideal opportunity to reach our most invested Chicago Botanic Garden supporters including the Board of Trustees, President’s Circle, and Woman’s Board of the Chicago Horticultural Society. This audience is devoted to the Garden’s mission and includes some of the Chicago area’s top civic, community, and executive leaders.
