Sounds/Music/Voiceovers

• Normally, the non-diegetic score music should reflect the genre of the film and depending on the genre, should increase in volume of pace at climatic points.

• The sound effects also reflect the genre, as a horror would usually have dramatic/mysterious sounds at climatic points.

• The voiceovers should suit the genre of film, as a thriller would have a deep/mysterious tone and it gives the audience more information.

For Example: ‘Domicile.’

Titles/Credits

• It’s crucial that the audience know what the film is called and the film title is the most important thing.

• The font, colour etc of the title should match the genre of the film or in some cases, what it’ll be about.

• Also, if the trailer has no dialogue or voiceover, the titles replace them.

• Some trailers also show the main characters names.

• All the thanks and social medias are credited at the end.

Inspiration

• From the official and student trailers, the titles/credits are inspirational as it mirrors the genre of the film through the font and colour.

• Also, the sound/music/voiceovers are linked with the pace of editing. Therefore, it has inspired me as the pace of the score music corresponds with the pace of the editing.

• Lastly, the use of social media has inspired me as it promotes the film even more and is a easy way of attracting audiences.
