LOCAL LAW NO. 2016A Local Law entitled, “A Local Law in relation to an Amendment to Chapter 260,

Vehicles and Traffic, in connection with Traffic and Pedestrian Safety”.BE IT ENACTED by the Town Board of the Town of Southold as follows:I. Purpose.The purpose of this local law is to improve safety for pedestrians and vehicles, as

well as dealing with impacts to the public’s health, safety and welfare.II. Chapter 260 of the Code of the Town of Southold is hereby amended as follows:§260-4. Stop intersections with stop signs.

III. SEVERABILITY

If any clause, sentence, paragraph, section, or part of this Local Law shall be ad- judged by any court of competent jurisdiction to b e invalid, the judgment shall notaffect the validity of this law as a whole or any part thereof other than the part sodecided to be unconstitutional or invalid.

IV. EFFECTIVE DATEThis Local Law shall take effect immediately upon filing with the Secretary of
