VICTORIA TORENBEEKMy Creata Direct Fashion story starts with my daughter, Lauren, booking my fi rst Miche preview!

ELIZABETH BARALLONIf you had asked me 2 years ago if I wanted to get into the party plan industry,I would have hesitated!

However, after having my second child, with the looming thought of my maternity leave coming to an end, I sought all sorts of options. After seeing my fi rst Miche bag, the tote bag jumped out at me and I knew that this was the PERFECT nappy bag for me and for EVERY SINGLE MOTHER out there. So I took the leap into party plan. And I mean, I took the LEAP! I promised myself that this was it. I was going to make this a success and strive to make this business work, so I could watch my girls grow up and still bring in the money that we needed to survive.

Within 3 months I was making enough to tell my employer that I wasn’t coming back. I was able to say good bye to working 3 days a week, 8am-5pm with my daughters in childcare. I was able to look after them and at the same time organise Previews and appointments around “OUR TIME” and bring in some money to pay for family holidays and nice clothes.

It has now been about 2 years and I have built a little team of my own and I’ve recently qualifi ed as a Manager within the company. I have worked hard, and dreamed big. I am fi nally seeing the rewards from all my dedication and I am fi nally realising just how amazing this opportunity was that I stumbled on. I am fi nally being recognised for the work I have done and I am no longer just a number in a corporation who don’t care. I’m a part of the Creata Direct Family!

I so didn’t DO bags but at my Preview I soon realised what an incredibly practical, desirable, collectable and fashionable item the Miche bags are!! Hearing from my Stylist that my minimum obligation to have my own account with Creata Direct Fashion was an order of $100 nett every 2 months - I joined! Why wouldn’t I? So I kicked off with the $299 kit and by running the 2 bookings from my own Preview and the rest is history!

What started as a hobby has grown into much, much more.... just through having a TON of FUN and having loads of ENTHUSIASM. I book in approximately 3-5 Previews a week (full time) and I’m slowly building a wonderful “Michisterhood” of hobbyists, part time and full time Stylists! I even have my fi rst qualifi ed Manager in my team!

Jeff and I are so excited about what else my team and I can achieve to increase the choices we ALL have in life! Helping others succeed and the thought of not having to rely on the pension when the time comes is my driving force!
