Scope of the Study
• In this research project, we will identify 20 textile manufacturers in India who works with
global apparel brands either as local manufacturers/suppliers or franchisees such as Arvind
Mills which manufactures global brands, i.e., Polo, Ralph Lauren, ESPRIT, GAP, FCUK,
Zara, Pull & Bear, Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly, Color Plus, Parx and Park
Avenue under license in India.
• For each such manufacturers identified, the following information will be provided:

• In addition, we will provide information on major B2B events (trade fairs) taking place in

Major Findings
• In this research project, we have contacted more than 20 garment manufacturers and
exporters based in India, who work with global brands. We have received responses from
three companies about minimum order and pricing.
• The findings from these responses are presented below:

Upcoming Textiles and Garments Trade Fairs December 2011 – June 2012
• The Apparel Export Promotion Council is the most important nodal agencies under the
aegis of Ministry of Textiles, Government of India for promotion of apparel exports.
• The Council organizes international garment fairs in India in alliance with four major
Garment Exporters' Associations since 1988. The fair, displaying Autumn/Winter
Collections is held during the month of January and for that of Spring/Summer
Collections, in July, every year. 46 IIGFs have been successfully held so far in the
past 23 years
