Apsara, Tina, Andy, Matevž

Vse se je začelo z nakupom stare domačije leta 2001 in z nevednostjo, kaj pomeni obnova stare hiše.

Sanje, da hiša postane naš dom in hostel, so se po osmih letih trdega dela uresničile. Vmes sta prišla še Apsara in Matevž.

Vabljeni, da proste dni preživite pri nas. Nudimo vam nastanitev v prijetnem in domačem vzdušju, obilico svežega zraka in okolje, kjer življenje teče počasneje.

O nas / About us

We bought an old house in 2001 with a crazy dream of renovating it into a hostel.

We had no idea about what was involved but somehow we did it, and in June 2008 the hostel received its first guests.

Today there is daughter Apsara which means “goddess of the sky” or “dancer from heaven”, and son Matevž.

You are kindly invited to our home to experience a mixture of cultures, fresh air and a wonderfully slow way of life.

Mt Studor - 1002m

Vas Studor se nahaja pod istoimenskim hribom (1002 m).Ima 50 hiš in 108 prebivalcev.

Vas je dovolj blizu Bohinjskega jezera, da ga lahko obiščete peš (3 km), pa vendar dovolj daleč, da poleti, ko ob jezeru vlada vrvež, pri nas lahko uživate v miru.

Studor je odlično izhodišče za obisk planin in gora.

Pozimi si lahko nadenete tekaške smuči kar pred vhodnimi vrati in že ste na tekaški progi.

Za smučanje lahko izbirate med vaškim smučiščem Senožeta ali uživate lepe razglede na Voglu.

Kje smo / Where we are

The village of Studor lies directly below that of the mountain.

There are around 50 houses and the total population is 108.

Studor is close enough to Lake Bohinj by foot - 3km - yet there is a world of difference in terms of the peace that is enjoyed here in the crazy summer months.

Studor is a great starting point for exploring mountains pastures as well as mountain peaks.

And in winter it is possible to do cross country skiing from right outside the front door.

You can choose to ski at the local piste - Senožeta, or enjoy the incredible views on top of the Vogel ski station.

Ljubljana - Bled 55km From the capital Ljubljana (LJ) head in the direction of Bled.

From there just follow the signs to Lake Bohinj.

There are frequent buses to the Lake from Lj and Bled, and regular trains to the regional centre town of Bohinjska Bistrica from LJ/Jesenice/Bled and from Nova Gorica.

We offer a free pick-up service from the Post Office near the Lake but please arrange for this in advance.

Po cesti iz Ljubljana v smeri proti Bledu (55 km).

Iz Bleda do Bohinjskega jezera je še 25 km.

Do Bohinjskega jezera so pogoste avtobusne povezave z Bleda, Ljubljane ali Jesenic. Z Bleda, iz Ljubljane, Nove Gorice in Jesenic do Bohinjske Bistrice redno vozi vlak.

Od Bohinjskega jezera do hostla vam po predhodnem dogovoru nudimo brezplačen prevoz.

There are 6 dormitory style beds in Vogel which is a favourite for those who like to wake up early to see the morning sky.

From the balcony you can watch the relaxed pace of the village or just relax.

A few days per month you can see the moon set over the Julian alps, or be amazed by the colors at sunset which can come any day of the year.

V sobi Vogel je šest ležišč. Soba je najljubša tistim, ki zjutraj radi zgodaj vstajajo in občudujejo jutranje nebo.

Z balkona lahko opazujete utrip vasi.

Nekaj dni v mesecu se iz sobe vidi lunin zahod. Včasih so barve neba ob sončnem zahodu nad Julijskimi Alpami res čudovite.

The 2x2 double bunks in Pokljuka and 2 single beds in Kredarica above give a feel of being in a mountain hut.

Not coincidentally, these are names of places that are in the high mountains and hold a specially place in Slovenian hearts.

Toplar

Romantikom nudimo sobo “toplar” z dvema ležiščema.

Pogled iz sobe je na tipični dvojni kozolec in na najstarejšo hišo v vasi, ki je spomeniško zaščitena.

For the romatics we offer one double room with two single beds.

Not surprisingly, the room overlooks a double hayrack and a most hostoric house in all Bohinj.

The village of Studor (550m) lies near the edge of the Bohinj Upper Valley and is on the outskirts of Triglav National Park.

It is even possible that settlement here dates back to the late Iron Age (6 century BC) when Bohinj was rich with iron ore.

Studor today is a mixture of simple farming ways as well as modern infrastuctures one would expect in the new Europe.

StudorSlikovita vas Studor (550m) leži na robu Zgornje Bohinjske doline in je zaradi bogate kulturne dediščine vključena v Triglavski narodni park.

Po najdbah sodeč sega naselitev Bohinja v 6. stoletje pred Kr. in nato ne ugasne več vse do danes.

Vas Studor je zdaj mešanica preprostega, tradicionalnega, kmečkega in modernega življenja.

Bohinj ni ime za mesto, temveč za območje, ki je obdano z gorami s treh strani: z Julijskimi Alpami, s Spodnjimi Bohinjskimi gorami in z alpsko planoto Pokljuka.

Pravijo, da je Bohinj na koncu sveta (ker od jezera naprej ne vodi nobena cesta), Studor pa na koncu Bohinja.

Bohinj is not a town but a region which is surrounded by mountains on three sides - the Julian alps from west to north, Bohinj mountains south to west, and the high Pokjluka plains north to east.

Somewhat jokingly, it is described as being at the end of the earth since there is no pratical access from Lake Bohinj through the mighty walls of Komna and Komača.
