Road construction in the northRoad construction will take place on Township Road 554 from Range Road 214 to approximately 500 metres west (includes intersection upgrades on Range Road 214). Try disc golf in the wildernessDisc golf is a new activity available at the Strathcona Wilderness Centre. Similar to regular golf, players use a disc and aim for target baskets. Meetings are held in Council Chambers in the Community Centre, 2001 Sherwood Drive, Sherwood Park. Members of the public are welcome to attend and observe.

Council meetings are now webcast. Go to the Strathcona County website to watch and listen to meetings live. Or, view them later online for up to six months after the meeting date.

Agendas and reports are available by the Friday before the meeting date on the County website, at the Council meeting and at the Strathcona County Library.

Savour Strathcona County: Spotlight on Herbs Savour gourmet dishes made with fresh ingredients by chefs from County restaurants. “Taste tickets” are available five for $5 – in advance by calling 780-464-8095, and also onsite. Art in the Plaza on Sundays this summerIt’s a destination every Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Community Centre in Sherwood Park. This summer-long series features local art and artists, walking tours and original works for sale. If you are an artist, call us to arrange to share your art. Take a shuttle to special eventsEdmonton Indy, July 20 to 22. Shuttle is $8 return or $5 one-way cash fare. Advance tickets will be available from the Sherwood Park Transit Centre in early July. Daily tickets will also be available on the day of the event. No commuter tickets or passes accepted.

Heritage Day Festival at Hawrelak Park, August 4 to 6. Tickets are available from the Transit Centre starting on July 23. Tickets are

also available the day of at Strathcona Station. Adults are $8 and child $5 return. One-way fare $5. No commuter tickets or passes accepted at this event.
