Traffic Bylaw 13-2011 affects matters of road work, RV and commercial vehicle parking, curb ramps, and all things related to activities that take place in the County’s road rights-of-way. For residents, this online calendar is a place to find out what is happening in the community. The same is true for annual passes for seniors. All other on-board fares remain the same as 2011. Strathcona County Family and Community Services is hosting free tax clinics for low-income residents who qualify. The sessions will be held in March and April at the Strathcona County Library. We encourage everyone to inform themselves of the regulations and safe practices. Through education and training, everyone from the expert to the novice will be able to enjoy a safe and legal snowmobiling season. Public meeting on South Cooking Lake Area Structure Plan Residents are invited to attend a public meeting to comment on a draft land use concept being developed for South Cooking Lake. Strathcona County is currently reviewing the existing Area Structure Plan (ASP) for the hamlet, and the draft concept incorporates community input from public consultations held in 2011. The intertactive input session will be held Thursday, February 2 at the South Cooking Lake Community Hall, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.; the input session starts at 6:30 p.m. • www.strathcona.ca/pds 780-464-8080 Public pool hours modified at Millennium Place On February 11 and 12, Millennium Place is hosting the Silver Tide Winter Invitational Swim Meet.
