The Dynasty FoundationThe Dynasty Foundation is a first family foundation in Russia that focuses on supporting Russian fundamental research in exact and natural sciences. In terms of this strategy, Dynasty is currently developing a number of programs to support students who specialize in the area, assist in funding postdoctoral positions for young candidates of sciences and organize specific events for scientific community, such as conferences and seminars. In order to achieve its goals the Dynasty Foundation collaborates with the sector's leaders - high schools (MEPhI, MIPT, MSU, etc.) and research centers (Lebedev Institute, ITEP). The Madariaga European FoundationCreated in 1998, the Madariaga European Foundation was established by an initiative of a group of alumni from the College of Europe whose goal was to involve the College in analysis and discussion on the subject of European integration. The Madariaga European Foundation is headed by Dr. Javier Solana, who also currently serves as the High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy for the European Union. The Madariaga European Foundation is now broadening its focus toward the role of Europe in the world, examining the global presence of Europe as it takes a new shape with enlargement and the upcoming votes on the European Constitution. The Eurasia FoundationThe Eurasia Foundation was launched in 1992 with a major grant from the U.S. Agency for International Development. With continuing support from USAID and a growing number of other donors in Europe and Russia, the Eurasia Foundation, which is privately managed, has made more than 7,000 grants totaling $140 million in the twelve countries of the former Soviet Union since 1993. In Russia, since 1993 the Eurasia Foundation has awarded more than $64 million to support local initiatives in civil society, private enterprise development, and public administration and policy. INTERNATIONAL CO-OPERATION

The New Eurasia Foundation creates unique opportunities for implementing major international projects:

• The presence of international founders each of which has his own system of partner ties and contacts in Russia, the European Union and the USA;

• An international board of directors which consists of noted public, political and business leaders representing Russia, Europe and the USA and capable of providing active assistance in the development and implementation of international projects;

• Partner relations with regional representations of the New Eurasia Foundation in CIS countries which creates a basis for implementing network international projects.

YOUTH PLUS PROGRAM

This program includes a set of regional partnership projects and events united by a common strategy and relying on local initiative.

Mission:

To help maximize the realization of the innovation potential of young people in Russia.

Target groups:

Young people, ages 14 to 30, are regarded as a strategic social development resource, and their active inclusion in economic, political, and social processes can give an extra impetus to democratic reform at both regional and national levels.

Program Goals:

      To promote the self-organization of youth people.

      To promote the legal status of the youth in the framework of regional and federal development.

      To promote the competitiveness of young people in the labor market.

      Program Projects

o Regional youth programs. The project seeks to devise and replicate mechanisms of development and implementation of comprehensive regional youth programs. All project participants became part of international partnership: YOUTH-net CIS Project (Interkulturelles Zentrum).

o  Educational institutions as community centers. The project seeks to make undergraduate and graduate students and young faculty active participants in regional development through partnership projects based at regional universities and targeted at actual problems of regional development.

o   Investment in the youth potential. The project seeks to increase the social activity of regional business by involving it in efforts to improve the competitiveness of socially insecure young people in the labor market.

o  Future leaders (White House Fellows). The project seeks to provide targeted in-service training for young leaders from regional and municipal administrative bodies, business entities, and the third sector.
