KNOWLEDGE – individuals are exposed to an innovation. Concentration the mini laptop or tablets.
The special instructors meet 1x a month in our joint county session.
We discuss issues, strengths and weaknesses. A major concern is the communication
process. The instructors described how they
communicate.

◦ Individuals form favorable or unfavorable attitudes
The county does not provide us with materials including tools to facilitate our roles.
We are subcontractors. Each instructor who uses a particular device
describes how it works.

Decision – individuals engage in activities that lead to choice.
◦ The group that meets for the monthly sessions are able to see through example how the communication works.
◦ We agree to let others handle the devices for knowledge
◦ The group tries to make a decision if all instructors should use them.

Implementation - ◦ Because we are responsible for purchasing our
own tools we can not give them out for use◦ We decide to experiment with dual therapist
visitations so the therapists that do not use a communication tool can try it during a session.

Confirmation – individuals seek reinforcement of an innovation-decision
The benefits of the communication provided over the portable device encourage others to start using it.
Nevertheless, the expense of purchasing it individually hinders some of the therapists goal of using a device within the next three months.
