Emergency overview: sealing strip made of rubberized bitumen with inert hard crushed stone around. Asphaltic odor. Under normal use, this product is not expected to create any health or environmental hazard. Inhalation of dust or asphalt fumes can cause a respiratory irritation.

HANDLING AND STORAGEAlways place STOPO boxes flat, with a maximum of five layers of boxes piled.

Store in a cooler than warm environment and never near a heat source.

Even if it is very flexible, never attempt to stretch the STOPO sealing strip beyond its one meter length while installing.

Preparation Liquid

For Concrete Surfaces

NOTE: the “STOPO PREPARATION LIQUID FOR CONCRETE SURFACES” is a rubberized adhesive that is used to condition concrete surfaces prior to sealing strips bonding. THIS IS NOT GLUE. It is used to pre-seal concrete surfaces and as a dust suppressant in order to ensure a better adhesion prior to bonding the “STOPO SEALING STRIPS FOR CONCRETE” by a thermo-fusion process.

The “STOPO PREPARATION LIQUID FOR CONCRETE SURFACES” is used with the “STOPO TYPE 3 (that has at least one side without crushed stone) SEALING STRIPS FOR CONCRETE” (type 3, 3.5, 3.5V and type L).

Always use the “STOPO PREPARATION LIQUID” before bonding the “STOPO SEALING STRIPS” on concrete. On surfaces other than concrete, the adhesive is not necessary. See installation method for strips of “TYPE 3” for details. Do not use adhesive under water. To allow the adhesion of the strips under water or on wet concrete, an epoxy adhesive is recommended. Consult your STOPO representative for more information.

DESCRIPTION: The "STOPO PREPARATION LIQUID FOR CONCRETE SURFACES" adhesive is a synthetic rubber based liquid. THIS IS NOT GLUE. It has been designed specifically for use with the "STOPO TYPE 3" (that has at least one side without crushed stone) SEALING STRIPS FOR CONCRETE (type 3, 3.5, 3.5V and type L). This surface adhesive dries faster and offers a better adhesion for the bonding on concrete.

APPLICATION:

May be applied using a paint brush, roller or spray.

Surfaces must be dry and free of dust, dirt, grease or other foreign matter.

Solvents affect the insulating polystyrene. Protect existing panels.

IMPORTANT: LET DRY THE « STOPO SURFACE PREPARATION LIQUID FOR CONCRETE » BEFORE THE BONDING (BY THE THERMO-FUSION PROCESS OF THE BITUMINOUS SURFACE OF THE STRIPS) OF THE « STOPO SEALING STRIPS » ON CONCRETE.
