How the WeightControl Filler Works

1. Product flows gently under constant pressure from the product pump into the filler’s infeed manifold. There are no sharp corners or severe flow reductions to damage product.

2. Filling stations (precision engineered piston and body assemblies) are mounted in a rotating cavity plate and pass over the infeed manifold.

3. Product pressure raises the filling station piston and fills the cylinder with a preset amount. An air cylinder counteracts the weight of the piston assembly, minimizing the product pressure required. The fill level is controlled by the Stolle Portion Control, which limits the stroke of the piston.

4. The Stolle Portion Control, a precision mechanism that adjusts the piston stroke

of the filling station, provides consistent accuracy of ± ½ of 1 percent of your target weight. The product portion weight can be adjusted while the machine is running to ensure superior weight accuracies.

5. Tough membrane, sinew and even stringy vegetables are cleanly severed by an exclusive cut-off system. The self-contained shearing knife ensures accurate filling by cutting through any strands of product that do not completely enter the filling station. Also eliminated are stringers trailing over the edge of the can lip that can cause poor seals and contamination.

6. As the cavity plate rotates, the filling station is positioned directly over an empty container, which is automatically fed through the filler. A cam pushes the filling station piston down, depositing the product into the container.
