FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST 2016

EDUCATIONAL MISSION

SEMINARS/ MEETINGS

We had regular working committee meeting everyday in the evening and there

we discussed about the day and next day’s activities.

On 02.08.2016 Mr. Xavier Academic co-ordinator visited our school and observed

the classes.

Mr. Maria Selvam, RSP In-charge attended Road Safety Patrol Teachers training

programme at Guru Shree Shanthivijay Jai Vidyalaya, Vepery on 04.08.2016.

Mr. Anabazhagan & Mrs. Malathi went to Karthikeyan Mat. School, Maduravoyal to

attend RTE verification camp on 06.08.2016.

Seminar on “Motivation” was conducted for all the teachers on 06.08.2016.

Rev. Fr. Jerry Rosario an Indian Jesuit priest was the resource person for the day.

On 11.08.2016 Principal along with Mr. Jaganathan from Central Bank of India went

to meet IMS for the verification of the original lease documents and CMDA approval

plan for the recognition renewal at Karthikeyan Mat. Hr. Sec. School, Maduravoyal

Principal went to Hyundai Company to attend Academic Excellence Award 2016

ceremony on 16.08.2016.

On 19.08.2016 & 20.08.2016 Sr. Administrator attended a meeting at DFT organized

by Founder Father regarding Fee arrears for the year 2015 – 2016 & Fee to be

collected for the year 2016 - 2017.

Mr. G. ARUN KUMAR, Senior Trainer of Ratna Sagar Pvt. Ltd. Conducted a

training programme for Maths handling teachers on 27.08.2016. He facilitated our

teachers to unlearn the way they learn, and make them learn the way which is

practical, putting emphasis on “Learning by Doing” Methodology.

Recollection was conducted for the RC students of VI - XII on Saturday 27.08.2016.

Rev. Fr. Reegan, Sacred Heart Seminary was the resource person and 2 priests namely

Rev. Fr. Jesudoss & Rev. Fr. Jerome MMI were there to listen confession.

AWARDS/ACHEIVEMENT

On 02.08.2016 Mr. Ramakrishnan, the Manager & his team from CSC honoured the

toppers of Std X & XII by giving “Mudhalvan Award” for the academic year

2015 – 2016 during the students assembly.

Winners of Veetukkoru Vignani science Expo conducted by Puthiya Thalaimurai

were honoured with medals and certificates during the students assembly.

Class leaders & Asst. Class leaders were honoured with the badge during the

Assembly for the classes LKG to Std. XII.

ACADEMIC

Regular class is conducted for the class PRE-KG to XII.

Weekly test & Class test was conducted for Std. X & XII.

Every Thursdays and Fridays will be the special class for Maths Subject for

Std. XII till 8.00 p.m.

38 students applied for Inspire science camp, out of which only 6 students are

selected to attend the camp at SSN college of Engineering , Kalavakkam from

08.08.2016 to 12.08.2016.

Smart Maths, Smart English, Handwriting class through Go Smart Academy is conducted

everyday according to the class time table.

Abacus class is conducted on every Saturdays for the registered students.

Academic council conducted the final competition on English Club for the classes VI - IX &

XI on 12.08.2016.

On 13.08.2016 & 27.08.2016 (Saturday) special class was conducted for the slow

learners from Std I-IX and also for all the students of Std. X & XII.

Tata Class edge and Pedagogy training programme was conducted for new teachers by

Mrs. Visalakshi, Academic Manager of TATA on 13.08.2016.

New 3D content is updated in TATA Class Edge “Release of LX version” for this

Academic year 2016 – 2017.

ZONAL LEVEL CAROM TOURNAMENT

Zonal level Carom Tournament was conducted in our school campus today

(05.08.2016). Dhanush. S VIII F under 14 years singles Runner; Monika XI H &

Monish XI H under 19 doubles Runner.

On 09.08.2016 boys and girls participated in Tennikoit Tournament in Zonal

level at pioneer Mat. Hr. Sec. School, Velappanchavadi.

On 10.08.2016 boys participated in Volley ball Tournament in zonal level at SKR

Engineering College Pettai. Under 14 year boys runner.

Shuttle badminton tournament in zonal level held on 11.08.2016) at SKR

Engineering college, Pettai. Our students participated and they won the match.

Under 17 & 19 year girls singles & double. Under 17 year and 19 years boys

singles & doubles won the match. Under 14 girls doubles were the runner.

On 12.08.2016 Our students participated in Volley ball Tournament in Zonal

level at Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School & Sarojini Varadappan Girls Hr. Sec. school,

Poonamallee Under 14 Girls were the runner.

On 16.08.2016 our girls participated in Kho-Kho zonal Tournament at Sundar

Mat. Hr. School, Poonamallee, they were runner.

On 17.08.2016 our Girls participated in Basket ball tournament at Sarojini

Varadappan Girls Hr. Sec. School, they won the match.

On 18.08.2016 our girls participated in Throw ball Zonal Tournament on today

at Christ Mat. Hr. Sec. School, Poonamallee.

Under 17 and 19 year group boys participated in Football Zonal Tournament

today 19.08.2016 at Kuthambakkam Girls High School.

Boys under 14 years and Girls participated in Zonal Football Tournament on

22.08.2016 at Kuthambakkam G.H.School

Boys & Girls participated in Handball Zonal Tournament & Ball Badminton on

23.08.2016 at Govt. G.H.School, Poonamallee. They won the match.

Boys participated in Kho – Kho Zonal Tournament on 24.08.2016 at Govt.

Hr.Sec. School, Senneerkuppam.

Sub-junior, Junior, Senior boys & girls participated in Chess Zonal Tournament at

Govt. Girls. Hr. Sec. School, Poonamallee. Junior boys placed I & II, Sub Junior

girl placed II, Senior boys placed I, Super senior girls placed III.

CELEBRATION

On 22.08.2016 Students of LKG celebrated Flowers day - all the students took active

participation in bringing various natural flowers and artificial flowers. They learnt the

name, colour and smell and then the flowers were arranged and exhibited beautifully

by the teachers.

Independence day was celebrated on 15.08.2016 in a grand manner. Students

performed culturals and sweets were distributed to the students.

On 17.08.2016 Primary department celebrated the Independence day in meaningful

manner.

Science Fest was conducted on 23.08.2016 for Primary. Students brought saplings it

was planted by the Chief Guest Mrs. S. Lavanya & Principal. Students performed

cultural, Students came in colour dress and enjoyed well.

Primary department celebrated English fest 2016 on 24.08.2016. Students performed

culturals and they enjoyed well.

HEALTH BENEFITS

DTP Vaccination camp was conducted on 05.08.2016 for Std. I & II. 250 students

were benefited for the same.

Deworming tablet was distributed to the students of PRE-KG to Std XII on

10.08.2016.

On 18.08.2016 TT injection camp was conducted for the students of Std. V & X.

On 26.08.2016 Dental care day celebrated by the PREKG & LKG children. We had 7

trainee doctors from Saveetha Dental College, Velappanchavadi to conduct the dental

screening camp. Out of 644 students 611 students went through the screening. The

children co-operated and were excited about the day, as they had prepared banners,

charts & models for exhibiting.

RAJAPURASKAR TESTING CAMP

Scouts & Guides went to Viswaksena Mat. Hr. Sec. School, Polivakkam to attend

Rajapuraskar Testing camp from 26.08.2016 to 28.08.2016. Mr. Kanikkai Lazer and

Ms. Manimegalai accompanied the students.

GENERAL

KG had their first assembly on 04.08.2016 for the Academic year 2016 – 2017

UKG A teacher trained the children very well to lead the KG Assembly. They did

Bible reading, Prayer song, Thirukkural, Tamil story telling, Action song and short talk

on Mother Teresa. Children did very well.

Assembly was conducted for KG students based on Independence day on 11.08.2016, they

were dressed in tri-colour and also like the freedom fighters. They did well.

Aadhar card camp is conducted from 10.08.2016 to 12.08.2016.

Recollection was conducted for the RC teachers on 13.08.2016 (Sat). Rev. Fr. Isaac Paul,

St. Joseph Church, Palanchur was the main celebrant.

Academic council conducted Maths & Science Club activity related to the field of

Maths & Science on 19.08.2016.
