It was observed that MUM’S PARKING( 6 ) was sitting back in the boxes when the lids opened, resulting in the greyhound beginning poorly. PIPER NIGRUM( 1 ) jumped smartly and led throughout. PIPER NIGRUM( 1 ) checked LIGHT OF SHADOW( 3 ) approaching the turn into the back straight, causing LIGHT OF SHADOW( 3 ) to lose ground sharply, checking SUGAR RAY PRINCE( 4 ), HUBCAP( 5 ), and TRY CATCH JETT( 7 ), with all three runners losing ground from this incident. The winner of this event PIPER NIGRUM( 1 ) was locked away for a Urine Sample to be obtained at the Direction of Stewards.
