Position Overview

Asset Management

• Review the work of team members ensuring quality and accuracy.

• Perform regular QA check of data

• Daily maintenance of the GIS Database including adding, removing and modifying utility data including proposed, work as constructed and abandoned utilities.

• Daily maintenance and monitoring of the data integration and synchronisation process between ERP and GIS

• Maintenance of linear network data in ERP

• Liaise with internal staff and contractors regarding the provision of work as constructed (WAC) drawings and field records.

• Check format of digital drawings sent to HWC and update GIS database with proposed subdivisional and asset data and liaise with external consultants/contractors with regard to the data provided.

• Provide drafting and plan generation services to internal/external customers as requested.

• Have a sound knowledge of appropriate software programs used to maintain data within the current HWC’s GIS system.

• Data is collected from field surveys, data sheets, by both manual and electronic and by using archival records, field books and survey records.

• Provide assistance to users on access to GIS, engineering drawings, survey information, maps and plan interpretation and other documents.

• Provide GIS Data to external clients in a suitable format.

• Provide support to projects

• Conversion of GIS and external data to suitable formats for compatibility within current GIS system.

Second last or final year of a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree

No preference on citizenship requirements
