STATUS OF 2009 HONG KONG CONVENTION (as at 16 November 2011)

Conditions of entry into force: 15 States, 40% of the world's tonnage; and the combined maximum annual ship recycling volume of these States during the preceding 10 years constitutes not less than 3 per cent of the gross tonnage of the combined merchant shipping of the same States

Percentage of world's tonnage: None

France, Italy, the Netherlands, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and Turkey have signed the Convention, subject to ratification (acceptance).
