Creative Contributions2012 – present UGA GreenWay blog (www.ugagreenway.wordpress.com) was developed in July

to share sustainability tips and information from Australia. It has been expanded to provide sustainability information here in the United States, and complements the other social media tools used by Dr. Turner and Sharon Gibson. In 2013 there were 2,871 visitors to blog and we published 49 blog posts.

2009 – present UGA GreenWay (www.ugagreenway.com) is an interactive website designed to

provide a source of research-based information on living greener. Information on the web pages includes green cleaning, conserving resources, greenwashing, investing green, recycling, generation green, and activating your community. There are interactive pages, including a tool called My Green Commitment that provides a tool to collect data and assess consumer behavior related to making an online commitment to change environmental behaviors or practices. The project began as a team effort led by Dr. Turner, with content contributions and design input from faculty members Ms. Sharon Gibson and Dr. Joan Koonce, along with graduate students. Since 2010, the content has been maintained by Dr. Turner and Ms. Gibson with design assistance from Melissa McBride. Social networking tools – Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Pinterest – are used to expand online outreach. The web page and social networking tools continue to be updated to keep the information timely and relevant. At the end of 2013 there were 500 Facebook fans; 127 Facebook group members; 1,800 tweets with 372 Twitter followers; 3,537 YouTube views; and 18 Pinterest boards with 108 pins and 73 followers. One of the Pinterest boards is a collaborative board with six other energy experts, including eXtension.
