Hi Carrie, As you know, when it comes to tax season, the state of Maryland imposes large penalties on its residents. To give Marylanders an opportunity for relief, the Maryland Comptroller will instill a new Maryland Tax Amnesty Program starting this fall from Sept. 1 - Oct. 31, 2015. The amnesty period will allow eligible taxpayers who participate in the program to receive a waiver of all civil penalties (except previously assessed fraud penalties) and 50% of the interest associated with their delinquent taxes (“Amnesty Waiver”). The taxes covered by the Program include corporate income tax, sales and use tax, fiduciary income tax, and individual income tax. To qualify for the amnesty waiver, several steps must be taken and taxpayers must meet certain eligibilities, all of which can be further explained by Baltimore’s Rosen Sapperstein & Friedlander (RS&F). An accounting firm specializing in tax services and, more importantly, tax savings, RS&F can tell you how this amnesty program will benefit your readers. I’d love to arrange an interview for you with RS&F tax experts to discuss the Program further for a story. What do you think? Many thanks, Mike

Hi Carrie,

As you know, when it comes to tax season, the state of Maryland imposes large penalties on its residents.

Many thanks,

Mike
