KeytosuccessofWakefieldiseveryoneparticipatesandhasfunincreatingtheadventureassociatedwithartsandculture.Importanceofvalueplacedvolunteerbase
ofanycommunityandhowtheycontributetothesuccessofarts,cultureandplacea
valueonheritageaswell.
Oldergenerationisnowtendingtoeducateandmentortheyoungergenerationwhichisveryvaluabletotheongoingsupportofartsandcultureasamajorforceinahealthy
community
Arts,cultureandheritagearetendingtocontributemoreandmoretoyouthretentionandthefactthatyouthreturntotheirhometowns,especiallywithintheruralareas,as
theyhavesomethingtocontributetoandparticipatein.
Governmentpartnersneedtosupportartsandculturemoreandnotconsiderthema
frivolityoraluxury.
RegionalareassuchaEasternTownships,Gatineau,etc.,areconsideredtobemoreaffordablebymanyartistsandthereforetheymigratetherewithfamily.Therefore,this
increasestheartisticcomponentsofruralareas.
Artsdevelopacommitmenttocommunityandthedevelopmentofastrongercommunityastheyallowfreedomofexchangeandideaswithoutfearofreprisalor
criticismaspeoplearedoingsomethingtheyenjoyandbenefitfrom
ValueoftheCreativeEconomyneedstobeaddressedmorewithinthelargercommunitytoenablepeopletounderstandclearlywhatthisconceptisandhowthey
canallbenefitfromtheconcept.Thiswouldapplyespeciallywithinthegovernment
sector.
Inanysuccessfulcommunitythatdemonstratesartsandcultureasacatalystoftenowesthissuccesstoasparkorpersonwithapassionateideaorideas,andhowthispersonor
personscantransmitthispassiontopeoplearoundthemsothatitisnurturedand
grows.
