Practicing within the private and voluntary sectors since 2003, Sherry

combines person centred, cognitive behavioural, psychodynamic and analyticalapproaches underpinned by attachment and developmental theories.

Sherry has experienced working with a wide variety of mental health and life issues. Sheis particularly interested in trauma, domestic abuse, sexual abuse, anger management,

life skills, self awareness and esteem, body image, relational issues, depression, dyslexia, autistic spectrum and special educational needs, equine assisted therapy.

Her person centred holistic ethos provides a confidential empowering experience in which individuals and couples can explore their issues and achieve well being.

Horses for Causes is a ‘not for profit’ organisation that was originally set up to help people of all ages that suffer with Autism and learning difficulties.

Whilst only gaining the necessities of equine qualifications, Sharon has now expandedher service to support parents and families with mental health issues , working closelyand alongside County, District and Parish Councils, the National Autistic Society andMenphys , Sharon and her husband Malc have developed a haven with their herd of

horses. Her training with EAGALA is on going, and feels well supported through the organisation.

Christina (Tina) Fitzgibbon is the founder and director of Equichanics. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Equine Science & Management, MSc in Equine Science, Postgraduate

Certificate in Education and is EAGALA Certified. Combining these qualifications with her industry experience and international competition success Tina is prepared to assist, whether you want to start a young horse, progress your riding skills or explore and

harness your personal limitations and aspirations.Tina is a person with an amazing amount of character, one that a vast amount of life

experiences from both ends of the spectrum has built. Combining this with Tina’s education and various careers she has created a toolbox of talents that encourage the best out of horses and people. In her latest equine assisted work with Hush Farms of

Devon Tina has worked with people from all walks of life, ages and interests but particularly war veterans and their wives.

Tina’s presentation in the morning is not specifically dedicated to the EAGALA model of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) and Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) but it will be included. The day is aimed at people who may be interested in working as an equine

specialist (for/with Horses for Causes or may be neither of those and may want to set up on their own) or they may be a qualified mental health professional who is thinking of bringing

their clients to Horses for Causes.
