CLIENT PROFILE
The organization was formed to contribute to the empowerment of
women in Nigeria and the promotion of women’s human right through
lobbying, advocacy, provision of legal aid, training, among other
strategies.

WELA serves mostly marginalized and disadvantaged women and
girls including:
• Widows, orphans, women and girls affected by HIV/AIDS
• Violation of their rights through domestic violence, divorced
women, poor or less privileged women or girls
• To end the cycle of violence against women in respect to
domestic crimes being perpetrated against women in Nigeria
• Create a media campaign that demonstrates the
importance of regular donations
• Convince people that it’s their regular donations to
WELA that will allow them to continue and
increase their work

• To create awareness of:
• Government laws against illegal
practices against women
• Activities of WELA
• To solicit the support of
government, companies and high
net worth individuals to raise a sum
of N200,000,000 over a period of
one year towards achieving its set

offs) are more receptive to our cause
• Upload videos of positive response form people who have been recruited as ambassadors on WWW.WELAONLINE.ORG
• Put up videos of positive response from activations done• Put up testimonial videos of past victims• GOOGLE – Intrusive pop-up Google ADS. Discuss with Google to support
the cause under CSR for free exposure. Potential exposure on Google+ and YouTube
• Buy spots into News Hour• Put up 5minute documentary (e.g. positive response of well-offs to WELA’s course;
testimonials from past victims about positive impact of WELA in their lives etc)• WELA logo flash and web scroll on screen
