Family and Friends Disco Friday 13 June The Junior disco (Years 0,1, 2 and 3) runs from 5.45pm to 7.15pm. This is a family disco so pre-schoolers, parents, friends and family are welcome, but everyone must purchase a ticket. All pre-schoolers must be accompanied by an adult The Senior disco runs from 7.30om to 9pm. This is only for children in Years 4,5 and 6. Disco tickets are $5 each and there will be door sales. If you are able to donate a multi pack of chips for us to sell on the night please send these to the office and email Claire on [email protected]. Thanks to everyone who has volunteered their help. Nigel Latta - Monday 23 June Don’t miss out on this informative and funny show all about the business of getting boys and girls through childhood, adolescence and beyond. Tickets are still on sale at only $25 per person. Tickets are available from the school office. We are still needing prizes for the raffle and would be grateful for any contribution: bottle of wine, box of chocolates, etc. Money raised form this event will go towards new digital devices for our children. During our last meeting we discussed the focus of our fundraising. We would love to hear from you if you have any ideas for fundraising in the future. Money fundraised this year from the sausage sizzle will go towards building a target wall. This is a concrete wall with a target on it, which will be placed on the field. It will be used by all the children. The next sausage sizzle will be on Friday 27June. We would love to hear your ideas and opinions on fundraising, at our next meeting on Tuesday 1 July at 7.30pm in the staffroom.

Welcome to our new students Ruiqi Jiang, Meiqi Wang, Shelby Currie, Yuanzhi Wen, Tyler Gengan, Jayden Newell and Jasleen Kaur.

Why Treading Tuesday is so Important At Point View we encourage our whole school community to walk, scooter, park and walk, carpool, cycle and bus on a Tuesday. We do this to keep traffic around the school to a minimum. Recently we had a whole class of 27 children all tread to school, which is brilliant!! We always want our community to think of how they travel to and from school, not just on a Tuesday but every day. The leading class will receive a prize for being the best for the term. Any questions you have about Treading Tuesday please contact Marion Galloway WSB Coordinator at [email protected] or 021 325 376.

Group guitar lessons after school at Point View with Phil Rice from Musiq Hub, Year 3 onwards, For details please contact Phil: Rice [email protected] or 021 77 55 81

Point View hosted the East Auckland Technology Challenge. We came fourth and fifth in the Marshmallow Throwing Machine challenge and second in the Evil Hurdles Challenge, our best set of results ever.

Recently, our students and staff all enjoyed watching the Duchesses who are competing in the dance section at the world championships in America. Alex Paige who is part of the group is an ex Point View student. Jennifer Groom and Brooke Davies (past students) are competing in the aerobics section at the same competition.
