Staff News Nurse Kim and her fi ancé Mike are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their baby daughter Daisy in August. Nurse Melissa and her husband Christopher are also delighted to announce the safe arrival of their baby boy William who arrived in December. Many of you will have been greeted by our receptionist Tamsin who has been our maternity cover for Holly since December 2015. We are very happy to say Tamsin is now a permanent and valued member of the reception team. Holly has decided not to return to work and we wish her well for the future.

Jon FlemingJon has thoroughly enjoyed meeting and looking after all the patients he has seen over the last 6 months in the Practice. He has settled into the Long Street team and is looking forward to meeting

many more of you in the months to come and continuing to look after those he has already seen.

The NHS Friends and family testLong Street Dental continues to rate very highly with all our patients. The FFT is a NHS survey that dental practices are required to participate in. Our commitment to NHS children’s dentistry requires us to ask you to fi ll in the FFT form. It is anonymous and very simple. We thank you for your very high recommendation and value greatly the lovely comments that have been made.

Out-of-hours emergency coverWe are part of an emergency dental call-out team. If you have a dental emergency, Denplan and private patients should ring 07623 946093 up to 6.30 pm weekdays and 9.00am – 4.30pm weekends and public holidays. This number is covered on a rota system shared by dentists in Devizes, Trowbridge and Bradford on Avon. Please be prepared to travel to the practice surgery which is on the rota at the time of your call.

For NHS children you should call the new telephone number which is 111. Denplan patients also have the additional option of calling the Denplan emergency helpline whose number is 0800 844999.

Dental TherapistMany of you will have already met Claire Brewer our dental therapist. Claire is dual qualifi ed in both hygiene and therapy, having graduated from Queen Mary’s University of London in 2003. Therapists can provide extensive treatments for both adults and children. Claire is especially good at caring for nervous or anxious patients of any age and her dedicated training ensures she is able to provide an excellent standard of clinical dentistry. Claire is in the practice on Wednesdays, Fridays and alternate Thursdays and is extremely popular with all our patients.

Is snoring (sleep apnoea) causing you or anyone else problems?Many people have lived with the problems that snoring can cause for years not realizing that there is now a solution. Traf� c and parking in Devizes

Parking on a Thursday (Market day) is always an issue. There is some on road parking outside the practice (limited to 2hr and a disabled space). If your appointment is on a Thursday, please allow extra time. We will always do our best to see you if you are a little late, however on some occasions patients will have to re-book.
