WHY ST. ROSE SCHOOL? WHY CATHOLIC
EDUCATION FOR YOUR CHILDREN?
Parents, over this school year the Catholic School Advisory Commission (CSAC), the Parent Guild, the St. Rose admini-stration, teachers, and staff have committed thought, time, and energy to promoting St. Rose School in our parish, our com-munity, and to our clergy and the families in the surrounding parishes. But this promotion does not just happen at our St. Rose School table outside the Masses at all of our surround-ing Catholic churches as we distribute brochures and informa-tion sheets; promotion happens everywhere, EVERYWHERE! You promote the Good News of your school whether our chil-dren are wearing their uniforms or not, their demeanor on the soccer, lacrosse, or baseball field, basketball court, tennis court, dance class, music class, in a line in the grocery story, in their interactions with you at home or in town, in the com-pany of their friends, or in service to their school, parish, and community…you AND your children promote their school, St. Rose School.
Please join me during this Catholic Schools Week to reflect and confirm our commitment to St. Rose School…Why do we choose Catholic school? Why do we choose St. Rose School? Why do I love the work I do at St. Rose School? Why do our teachers and staff choose the ministry and work of Catholic school? You are called as parents; our Catholic school sup-ports you. Our teachers were called to serve; our Catholic school community supports them. Father Joel, Father Ace, Father Tim N., Father Stanley P., Father Eric L., Father Phil M., the Sisters of Mercy and Sister Mary Brett…you, me…all of us in our St. Rose School and Catholic parish communities are called to serve all communities to which we BELONG.
We are a community; we belong to a school and church where we recognize each person who enters this learning environ-ment, this sacred space, as a unique gift from God. “EACH person” is YOU, ME, our CHILDREN…loving God and respect-ing each other. Thank you for all you do each day, in prayer and in physical support of St. Rose School. Together we are doing great things.
Please continue to pray for Catholic families who are consider-ing Catholic education for their children.
