“Not as man sees does God see, because man sees the appearance but the Lord looks into the
heart.” — 1 Samuel 16:7
How often do we invest our time, talent, and treas-ure in creating an appearance that does not matter at all to God? We strive to impress with our cloth-
ing, home, career, possessions, car, and other marks of distinction. But none of these illusions of greatness will impress God. Instead, He will look into our hearts to see how much we loved Him, how much we loved others and how we showed
that love by the way we used our time, talent, and treasure here on earth.
Please Note: Due to the current condi ons associated with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, please see the cancella ons or postponements listed below:

Everything we have, everything we are, and everything we will become is a gift from the Lord. As faithful Catholics we are called to return our time, talent, and gifts
in gratitude for God’s bounty. DSF 2020 reminds us to Bring Your Greatest Gifts to the Lord, and through our willing-ness to share our gifts, we provide support to ministries that serve thou-sands and thousands of our brothers and sisters in the Archdiocese of Gal-veston-Houston.

DIOCESAN SERVICES FUND
Easter Confession Circuit Special Collec on This Weekend This week, we take up The Catholic Relief Services Collection to help Jesus in disguise. This collection helps six Catholic agencies to provide struggling communities with relief and support and to work for peace and reconciliation among our marginalized broth-ers and sisters here and around the world. Please prayerfully con-sider how you can support the collection.
The Lenten Reconciliation/Confession Circuit has been can-celled. Fr. Marty will stay after all daily masses to hear con-fessions in the confessional at both churches. He will also be available from 4 to 5 p.m. on Saturdays at St. Michael’s. He will NOT be taking appointments for special confession times.
NOTICE: ♦ Any parishioners who are uncomfortable about attending
Sunday Mass due to the coronavirus (COVID 19) are ex-cused from the obligation to attend. In addition, if a pa-rishioner is in the higher risk category due to current ill-ness, age, or suffering from a chronic health condition or compromised immune system, they are also asked to re-main at home.
♦ If you would like to have Holy Water at your home, please bring a small container to Mass and Father will bless it. Also, 6 day candle inserts are available for a suggested donation of $3 each. Come by the Parish Office for the candles.
♦ If you are unable to attend Mass to get a bulletin, you can sign up online to receive your bulletin electronically by the following link: https://ebulletin.jspaluch.com.
CONFIRMATION II RETREAT POSTPONED Dear Parents and Volunteers: As you know, new guidelines are being released daily. Due to these updates, we have decided to postpone the Confirmation II Retreat that was scheduled for this weekend for the safety and well-being of all.
At this time we are looking to reschedule the retreat for April 24th & 25th. If we are unable to hold the retreat at that time, then we will have the retreat May 8th & 9th. This retreat will take place on the St. Michael’s Church grounds. Neither of these dates are ideal but they are the best opportunities we can provide.
I apologize for the many changes that have occurred over the past few days. Please remain faithful during the COVID-19 pandemic and we look forward to seeing everyone again soon. God Bless, Jennifer Carlisle Director of Religious Education

For the past 17 years, we have searched for just the right words to express the sentiments in our hearts, but there simply are none. Our feelings far exceed our expressions in words, as they always have. Due to your overwhelming, continued generous support of our final “Pete Wieghat Memorial Scholarship Tourna-ment” it was definitely considered a success. All proceeds will continue to support the youth of our community in Pete’s memory. To our loyal, loving and generous supporters over the years from Needville, Richmond, Rosenberg, and neighboring areas, we say “Thank you and God bless you all” for your undy-ing support in our effort to continue helping deserving students attain their goals and fulfill their dreams. We assure you that our Scholarships will continue to be given annually for years to come as the result of our 501c3 status. Your contributions, in any way, for 17 years of Tournaments is genuinely appreciated and will never be forgotten. We will always remember the many loving friends we have made and will never forget you. Last but not least, we extend our genuine gratitude to our remarkable cooking, kitchen and chip counting crews, and to all who helped with the set up before the event all the way to the tear down crew on Sunday morning. To anyone we may have overlooked, it was not intentional and we apologize. Throughout the years, our Tournament could not have continued without all of you.
Thank You & God Bless You All! The Wieghat Family

As a parish, we are grateful to those parishioners who give of their time serving in a ministry during Mass. In recent months we have experienced a significant amount of liturgical minister no-shows. The ministry schedule is published in the bulletin the weekend prior to the first weekend of the next month. Be sure to notify the parish office at (979) 742-3383 of any known scheduling issues, such as vacations, business, etc. that would make you unavailable on a certain day or time period for the coming month, so the schedule may be prepared appropriately. Please report NO LATER than 15 minutes prior to the Mass start time. This will reduce the turmoil that arises in trying to find a replacement in such a very short notice. It is your responsibility to attempt to find a replacement when you are scheduled but cannot serve. A list of all the ministers and their phone numbers can be found in the Priest’s Sacristy. You can use this list to help find a replacement. If you are not assigned to help at Mass that day and would like to assist if needed, please check in before Mass begins. Appearance is important in the Church. We encourage you to always dress like you have come to do something important, that is, to worship God. That way if you need to fill in as a minister, you will be properly dressed. Thanks for doing what you are doing. It is a great service to the parish and all of the effort you make is deeply appreciated.
*If anyone is interested in volunteering for any of our ministries or have questions, please contact the Parish Office at (979) 742-3383.
