The First Collection for May 19th

amounted to $11,796. THANK YOU!

In order to meet St. Matthew’s operating expenses and save for future projects, the First Collection should bring in at least $11,100 every weekend.

Please keep in mind that the First Collection at Sunday Mass funds all operating expenses of your parish, including salaries, utilities, routine maintenance and administrative needs.

Online giving: www.stmatthewspotsylvania.org.

FROM THE PASTOR

I would like to congratulate the young people of the parish who have received First Holy Communion this spring. Their first reception of Jesus in the Sacrament of His Body and Blood reminds all of us that the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist lies at the heart of our Catholic Faith. Please join me in thanking their parents, our DRE, Mrs. Joanne Warren, and all our parish volunteers who helped with their formation and the celebration of First Communion.

I also ask you to join me in welcoming our new Organist, Mr. Grayson Cordova. A 2019 graduate of UMW, Mr. Cordova has been playing the organ for our Masses since March. Our music program always needs new singers, so please speak with Mr. Cordova or contact the parish office if you are interested in volunteering. Yours in Christ, Fr. Eversole
