PRAYER FOR THE HOLY SOULS IN PURGATORY
On the day she made her perpetual vows as a religious sister, St. Faustina offered this prayer: “Jesus, I plead with you for the souls that are most in need of prayer. I plead for the dying; be merciful to them. I also beg you, Jesus, to free all souls from purgatory.”
This and many other beautiful reflections on praying for the departed may be found in Day by Day for the Holy Souls in Purgatory by Susan Tassone (Our Sunday Visitor Publishing).

I SPY…
Something in the church that is large and gold. It is at the very center of the church and it contains something more precious than gold. We genuflect before it, as it contains the Blessed Sacrament. The very word means, “dwelling place”.
What is it and where do you find it? Let Mrs. Warren know and win a prize.
Peace of Christ, Joanne Warren
Born in Codogno Italy, with a great love for our Lord, it was thought that this sickly, small girl would never be accepted into a convent, nor travel far from home. Both assumptions were incorrect, as St. Frances
(Cabrini) made 23 transatlantic crossings by boat after she began her missionary work at the age of 42 years old! She came to America and began orphanages, schools, and hospitals all across the U.S. and South America. Sign up for free at www.Formed.org
