ORGANIZATIONS LITURGICAL
Training session for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion will be held on Wednesday, September 25th at 7:00pm. Please make plans to attend one of these important training sessions.

Homeschool Ministry On Friday, August 30th, approximately 80 children and their families attended Mass and a potluck lunch. This event was sponsored by the Homeschool Ministry at St. Martin de Porres, whose aim is to create and foster community amongst Catholic homeschoolers. This celebration also served as the inaugural event of the 2019-2020 school year, and was the first time that the members of the Friday Co-op (one of three programs available to homeschoolers) were able to spend time together before their first meeting of the year. OUTREACH
On October 4th, the Texas Trotters will have their monthly brown bag luncheon at the parish hall after the First Friday noon Mass. We will gather to plan future activities, fellowship and celebrate birthdays. All are invited to join our church seniors.
Our Society of St. Vincent de Paul appreciates all food items brought to Mass by our children. We have a large wooden box in the narthex for these food items. Please encourage children to continue to bring and place the items in the box.
If one should come across a person/family needing food assistance, we have pantry hours every Monday from 9:00am – 11:00am. In September, we will hold additional Monday pantry hours in the EVENING, from 5:30pm - 7:00pm on September 23rd. Thank you all for supporting our neighbors.

Court St. Martin De Porres will be hosting its 2019 Painted Churches Tour
in Schulenburg, TX. Open to all parishioners, family, and friends. To secure a reservation or for more information, contact Myra Alilain directly at 951-283-2607 or at [email protected]. Space is limited so act fast!
Tour cost is $44/person, which includes bus fair, tour fees, and a Schlotzky’s boxed lunch. Additional donations made to the Catholic Daughters St. Martin de Porres will go towards its CDA 2020 Scholarship Fund. The tour will begin at SMdP parking lot with a rendezvous time of 7:00am - 7:30am and a departure time of 7:45am sharp with an expected arrival back at SMdP bewtween 5:30pm - 6:00pm.
