Maths, English, MFL, History, Geography, Computing Studies, Art, all Science courses, D&T, Music, PE and RE will be graded as 1-9

For year 9 all subjects will be awarded 1-9 Shift from 5 A*-C to progress across 8 subjects

Importance of GCSE Maths and English

• If a student fails to achieve a GCSE 5 (or above) they will be required to continue studying the subject post-16

• This could mean up to 25 hours in a college studying!

• Two Exam Levels – Foundation and Higher• Foundation - Grades 1 to 5• Higher - Grades 4 to 9• Three Exam Papers each of length 90 minutes• Each paper has 80 marks
