Throughout the Easter season, all three of the Sunday readings are taken from the New Testament, the Christian scrip-tures. Together they explore what it means to believe in Jesus as the Christ, the One who fulfilled the prophecies of the Jewish scriptures. Today’s selections refer to our human weakness, yet they emphasize the forgiveness and peace that are available to those who put their faith in “Jesus Christ the righteous one." In the Acts of the Apostles Peter invites everyone to “repent, there-fore, and be converted, that your sins may be wiped away." The First Letter of John calls Jesus Christ “expiation for our sins." Finally, in the Gospel Jesus greets the disciples with “Peace” and urges them to preach “repentance, for the for-giveness of sins." Peace, Fr. Frank

On Sunday, April 8th the Women’s Communion Breakfast was a huge success with Keynote Speaker Bestselling Author Adrianna Trigiani and Bestselling Author and Parishioner Mary Higgins Clark at Saint Gabriel the Archangel Church. Both authors signed books for adoring fans, including Trigiani’s up-dated re-lease of Cooking With My Sisters, and Higgins Clark’s new re-lease, I’ve Got My Eyes on You, which includes reference to Monsignor Frank, the Pastor of Saint Gabriel’s. All books were provided by Books and Greetings Book Store of Northvale. Great thanks is given to all women of the Parish, including the Wom-en’s Cornerstone and Seniors Groups, who worked tirelessly to make this enjoyable event a success. Special thanks to Fr. Frank, Maureen Straut, Personal Touch Experience Caterers, Ridgewood Hot Bagels, Ho-Ho-Kus Minutemen Press, Yankee Linens, John Halliwell for his scones, Chuck & Maria Russo of Carlo Russo’s Wine and Spirit World for their Sparkling Wine, and Chuck Rus-so and Domenic Santucci for their bartending services!
