Parent Council

Thanks to the very hard working Parent Council and Funding Group for their support and

contributions to our school community and the successful End of Year disco. The funds we have

received support all pupils.

Please come along to the next AGM on 16th September at 6.30pm. We hope to offer childcare to allow more to attend.

Follow them on Facebook - link on our website.

Car Parking

Please continue to park carefully and safely. I am very grateful to all those who show patience and park responsibly and safely - putting children's safety before convenience.

The new school year presents an opportunity for families to consider how they travel to and from

school and perhaps seek safer, healthier and greener options.

Please do not purchase items of clothing for next session that do not comply with our uniform policy. School uniform can be purchased at Trutex, Vicar Street Falkirk or on line at

www.borderembroideries.co.uk

I would recommend the new reversible jackets that are less than £23 on line.

School uniform :

• white shirt and tie and /or red polo shirt for PE days

• grey trousers/skirts

• red jumpers or cardigans

• black school shoes - no trainers

No sweatshirts, no jeans and a return to grey trousers and skirts please.

PE kit –

• black shorts and red t-shirt / polo (indoor)

• outdoor and indoor appropriate footwear for PE

Pupils must have a change for PE at all times, both indoor and outdoor kit.

Please label your child’s clothing as the amount of lost property is unmanageable.

Free School Meals and Clothing Grants

If you applied for this support last year, you won’t need to make a new application. You should have

received a message to advise you of this recently from the Assessment Team. If you have never applied before, you will need to apply.

wish to share the feedback we received from parents. Thank you for your feedback. I will share highlights of verbatim comments at the AGM.

Behaviour and Relationship Policy 101 returns with 5 families saying they prefer the start system, 2 saying they have no knowledge of it and the rest positively supporting the policy.

Learning alongside your Child 100 returns with only one negative return.

Thank you for your feedback.
