We are very grateful to those in the military who have
dedicated themselves to protect our liberty and freedom.
Please keep our troops in your prayers, especially
Nicholas D’Urso, Bill Knips, Connor McKiernan, Paul
Golando, Patrick Sullivan and Michael Sullivan.
If you have an intention for Mass, consider
presenting the gifts of bread and wine during that
celebration. Please arrive early and inform the
ushers before Mass.
DID YOU KNOW
If you have difficulty getting up to receive Holy Communion, the
front row on both sides of the back section are reserved so that the
Eucharistic Ministers can come directly to you. Please feel free to
use these seats - your family is welcome to sit with you. The pews
are marked “Reserved.”
It is through Baptism that we are joined with Christ, share in His
passion, death and resurrection and so are saved from our sins
and become adopted children of God, sharing in divine life.
This miracle of God’s love and grace will be bestowed upon
Mikaela Halle Salvesen, daughter of Micah & Renee (Ortiz)
Salvesen. Please pray for this child and her parents, that they may
be faithful to God’s call to salvation.

is most grateful for our generous donaons of food for their pantry.
Our next collecon will be held in February!
Our parish is in need of Ministers of Consolation
Ministers of Consolation are parishioners who meet with the bereaved to offer compassionate assistance at a very difficult time.
Their duties include helping the family with music choices and readings for the Mass of Christian Burial.
The Ministers also act as greeters at the funeral Mass for the deceased.
For more information, please contact Sister Pat at [email protected]
Second Collection for Peter’s Pence
Next week, we will take up the Peter’s Pence Collection, which

Reflecons of a Wife and Mother – XXXVIII
Subject: When you learn you have cancer. Dear Family, I just want to express to you all, and as many of you already know, I will be going through the anger stage of emoon as I accept the emoon of acceptance. I ask for your generous prayers and love. Denial is the first stage so here I go. I'll probably go back and forth from denial to acceptance, but I hope for not too long. I'm ancipang praying and lovingly arriving at acceptance with your prayerful help. Thank you, my kind and generous family.
Mom: "Thank you for your gem (of a message), dear Trish. I too am looking forward to my me with God aer I get over my anger with Him. I'm sure we'll have many interchanges that will be treasured gis. Thank you, dear and precious daughter - my gi from God."
Lord, help me to give myself in generous service to others as you have so generously given Yourself to me.
Jesus, help me find my dominant fault. This is at the core of self-knowledge. I abandon all to You, dear Lord.
"Margaret, do you think that you will always live and never die? Of course not." Jesus, purify me every day. Teach me to be Yours alone.
Mom: "Father Rob please send me those 3 comments you reminded me about yesterday. Did you say you learned them from Cardinal Cooke or Cardinal Egan? The 3 different ways of responding to God? The center way being the correct way. Fr. Rob: "It was Cardinal O'Brien when he was a Monsignor and Rector of the North American College. He said when faced with the cross we have three opons: avoid it by turning around, try to skirt it by going around it or embrace and go through it. Number three leads to Easter Sunday and new life."
Lord Jesus, You became a servant for my sake to set me free from the tyranny of pride. Teach me to be humble as You are humble and to love others with a more tender heart each day.
~ Fr. Robert F. McKeon
