The Year of Mercy Calendar, a joint effort of the
Diocese of Syracuse and the Diocese of Steuben-
ville, is designed to help you live mercy day by day.
Each month includes the intentions of the Pope,
along with practical ways to put your faith into ac-
tion:
Sabbath Sunday - a day of rest. Spend extra time
with God.
Make a Difference Monday - pray for a specific
group of people each week.
Transforming Tuesday - Live out the corporal and
spiritual works of mercy.
Wisdom Wednesday - reflect on quotes from
Catholic saints and speakers.
Thirsting Thursday - Quench your thirst for God
with suggestions provided.
Fasting Friday - each week an item to fast from, in
order to recognize your hunger for God.
Selfless Saturday - die to oneself.

A Faith Study for Young Adults* During Lent… Way better than the same old diet. This is a 6-week small group lesson everyone who joins
will receive a par!cipa!on packet. Where there are
short ques!ons that are designed to guide you with a
be"er understanding of your rela!onship with the Lord
and help you see Jesus for who he truly is.
In the Discovery faith study Series, the first four lessons
of this study introduce the basic concept of the Chris!an
faith. In the fi$h lesson, Par!cipants are invited to make
a commitment to Christ. The sixth Lesson aims to help
them be"er grasp that commitment. It is for those who
wish to seek a rela!onship with Jesus and those who
would like to learn how to evangelize and break down
the Gospel in a simpler way and relate it to their own
life.
Lesson 1 - Gods Love
God knows and loves us personally.
Lesson 2- Love's Ini!a!ve
The Father takes the ini!a!ve to reconcile our rela!on-
ship with Him.
Lesson 3- Jesus Christ- Our Lord
Jesus of Nazareth is truly God.
Lesson 4- Jesus Christ - Our Savior
Jesus saves us from our sins through his passion, death
and resurrec!on.
Lesson 5- The Universal Call- Personally Yours
We are invited to receive the gi" of salva!on and live a
new rela!onship with God.
Lesson 6- Going from Here
A rela!onship with God if not an achievement of perfec-
!on. it is rather the context in which we receive God's
help and mercy in our daily lives.
*Young Adults 18-30’s

try center at 6:30
These series are set up for small groups. The groups con-

There are so many to thank for
our beautiful Christmas!
Deacon Tony, Father Dahlinger,
Fr. Major, Fr. O’Connor, Deacon
Tony, our lectors, Eucharistic
ministers, altar servers, music ministers, food pantry and out-
reach, gift givers, gift deliverers, those that organized, cleaned,
set up, angels and shepherds and our entire parish for their gen-
erosity and outpouring of grace at this time of year. The social
workers and teachers who help us distribute the gifts were over-
whelmed by what they saw.
Over and over they commented on how far beyond this parish ex-
ceeded their expectations and the gratefulness from those that
have benefitted from your generosity. So once again, thank you
and Merry Christmas! As we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Family
this weekend, it is heartwarming to know that so many families will
be touched by your grace.
Go ‘Bama!

Respect Life
The family is set at the very center of common good in its various
dimensions, precisely because man is conceived and born in it.
Everything possible must be done in order that this human being
may be desired, awaited, experienced as a particular, unique and
unrepeatable value, right from the beginning, from the moment of
his/her conception. He must feel that he/she is important, use-
ful, dear and of great value, even if infirm or handicapped: even
dearer in fact for this reason.
(Pope John Paul II)
